I'm sorry but "don't want to listen to what"? The same old excuses, same old reasonings that we'll get it right, turn a corner, learn a lesson.
What has the club said? Not very much! We still refuse to make announcements on recruits and why? We are the only club that thinks this is the best way forward. The club doesn't communicate or publicise effectively.
I think Stuart Duffy/Peter Hood and Steve McNamarra should have their own section on this forum. Then they could clear everything up and we would obviously swallow everything they say and be the happiest fans in the League. How hard would that be?

No but I didn't make the original statement. I do think the Club is out of touch with the fans though. The idea about giving them their own section on the Forum would be easy to do but I seriously doubt they would take up on it as it's easier to ignore things you don't like, and that's what will happen with a lot of fans if the Club doesn't do something.

Do you really think people at the club have time to trawl through most of the rubbish that is posted on here just to satisfy you?

If you read the club interaction thread at the top, you'll see we have made some small steps in opening up a better dialogue

yeah see my comment before the usual argument took place, I'm not sure it's out of touch but it certainly needs to engage and communicate more, and before it's mentioned i mean on the state of performances and the coaches position and not an open day or barbecue

If you look what I said maybe things would be clearer. I didn't say they should trawl through everything. They could have their own small section to look at and aswer occasionally. The thing is I think you are right and they don't have the time for the fans and don't want to interact with them.

I'll be renewing no matter what happens, but I can't say i'll be going to them all.

We will renew, of course we will. But it would be nice to have some idea where our money is going.

I will also be renewing. However it's not the loyal ones among us that the club need to be trying to persuade right now. It's the tweeners, so to speak. The ones who will give up watching if the team doesn't look like it deserved their support. And as it stands, those will be disappearing.

They made time - plenty of time - to interact with a Supporters' Association in the past. Unfortunately, all but a few of the fans seemed uninterested in becoming part of that Association, which limited and eventually pretty well annulled its effectiveness.

In a business, and especially now in the public sector, you don't negotiate and discuss directly with individual employees - that would be impracticable. You do it through the employees' representatives - usually the union reps.

I'd suggest that the answer to the perceived (and yes, I'd say to an extent real) interaction issue is staring people in the face, if apathy could be overcome? Just for once?

Maybe folk will now better understand some of why I get hot under the collar on this subject?

Shouldn't that be directed at a good number of the players?
