Don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have four props playing relatively equal stints. Problem with having one player doing a long stint like we've done with lynch/fielden is that their conditioning program is biased towards endurance. If they get injured and player conditioned for impact has to step up they tend to struggle with the longer gametime expected of them.

Agree about reason this guy hasn't been getting 1st tram time being a worry but it isn't that he hadn't been playing at all. He's been playing in the eels' NSW cup 'feeder' team, which as far as I can make out is roughly the Nrl equivalent of sending a player too good for u20's over here out on dual reg to a NL side. He just got players player of year award for that team.

Has anyone actually heard anything more definite or have people just latched onto this guy as he seems our type of signing?

Ross the t & a bulls reporter has put on his twitter he will be announced tomorrow (new signing) he says fans should be happy with the signing as there has been alot of postive talk of him on forums.....

Seems odd that a player as obscure as this should be mentioned without there at least being some contact with the club.

I'm happy to play 4 props sharing the workload provided that they are actually prepared to take the ball up and gain yardage with a level of intensity. Last year we really struggled to win the collision and get a quick play the ball.

We need Scruton to regain some of his 2010 form. We need Burgess to kick on. We need Kopczak to continue to improve but to try and make more yards rather than try the fancy stuff and we need Hargreaves to make more of an impact. Whoever else we sign needs to be get us on the front foot in attack and add some mongrel in defence.

Forums comment could be telling. Wonder if he means here or if he's been sniffing round forum of club players coming from. Only a few names been discussed at any length on here.

Got to admit, it seems like this Tongan is looking for a new club as the youtube video is pretty much an advertisement for his services.

Can't imagine he has 1 fan with a dvd of all his plays, so it looks like something an agent would put together to gain interest.

Also worth noting these are only his best bits (Worrincy and Offiah come to mind) - lets not expect a superstar until we see the guy in action.

Agree with that. If it does turn out to be this guy then I'm going to reserve judgement until I've actually seen him play. highlights reels are exactly that. you can make any player look good (or bad) if you show the correct clips. Think in this case we need to trust Potters judgement.

Be interesting to see how long a deal he gets. Tends to indicate how confident club is about the player. lots of last years signings were gambles and hence the 1 year deals.
So far out of signings/ re-signings this year can only remember sammut,ainscough and walker being on 1 year deals, and in later two cases seems fair enough as they did'nt get a decent run last year due to injury. Lulia on 2 years and gale,kear and purtell on 3 year deals tends to suggest coaching staff are a lot more confident in them.

Well if it does turn out to be Manase Manuokafoa I hope the club have unearthed a hidden gem rather than replaced Lynch with a cheap import.

I haven't seen the guy play but he certainly has the size that we need adding to our pack. Let's hope Potter has done his homework on him.
