| I believe all of the outstanding debt and CCJ's have been paid so the ban should have been lifted. Milnes has signed a new deal but that hasn't been announced yet.

Yes, that was the point really. It should have, but I've not read that is has and no announcements have actually been made.

| Who knows? Chalmers isn't in the country so I guess everything is on hold.

| One of the most interesting snippets in the LE interview was the admission that the player budget for 2020 will be about the same as 2019.
That suggests that they expect the fall in income from ST, sponsorship, hospitality etc to roughly match the savings gained by leaving Odsal. So not so much of a 'dividend' that some people are thinking then?
Together with mutterings about cutting down the size of the squad, not having a dedicated Reserve team, it all sounds like we are being very cautious for 2020, which might not be a bad thing. We don't yet know what the ST take-up will be, and theres' no point in risking everything on a whim.
Perhaps we will do something a bit like Leigh have done - budget for low crowds, but then use the extra income from better-than-expected crowds to bring in players as the season progresses? It doesn't seem to have worked out too badly for them - tipped for relegation by some before the season started, yet there they are firmly in the Top 5...

| Surely the point is that although the player budget will be the same next season the club won't lose 500k over the year.

Precisely, for the first time in eons we should be financially sustainable and have a way to cut the cloth appropriately without putting out a Pennine League standard team

| I find it harder and harder to support this club and not because we are moving to Dewsbury.
We have 12 players signed up for next year.
James Green has been trying for weeks to get an answer regards his future - wall of silence. So he is playing for York next season.
He's been a good player for us.
How many more are going to look for another club due the hopeless relationship between the "management" (I use that term very loosely) and the players?
Chalmers clearing off to NZ rather than going to Dewsbury didn't go down well with staff either.
The only bond is between the players and the fans - unfortunately that won't pay the rent for them.
The club continues to fritter away valuable ££££'s on "management" staff, some of who have overseen three administrations and have obviously learnt nothing.
Then we have the "Teenfest" - needing 3000 ticket sales to break even and never made 500. Abandoned and at a cost to promoters and "publicity" - not that we saw any.
I wonder who's big idea that was then!
In the meantime we lose valuable staff and players to other clubs, those staff could have been retained had money not been wasted elsewhere.
As far as I am concerned the most important asset the club has is the players followed by its fans - right now the finances are pointing in the wrong direction and its not by accident.
Some player exits might be viewed as "OK" - but I fear some of our better and popular players won't be with the club next season - and it could have been avoided.

Someone has been listening to Mick Gledhill way too much. I have had previous dealings with Gledhill and more often than not stuff he says ain't true.
What happened to the Bulls are defo going to Horsfall for next season?

Incorrect assumption.
Not got anything from that person.
Do continue to think all is rosy then.

| Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if Green was our highest paid full time prop. I’m not so sure he’s justified that this year.
I’m expecting a raft of new signings and resignings now tickets have gone on sale. (And also I read budget needed to be confirmed?) That would have held things up a bit

| I suppose the more optimistic way of looking at it is that we’ve decided which fringe players to keep and which can go already (relatively modest salaries) but we’ve had to wait for how the stadium news was taken and see initial ST sales before signing off on the playing budget and making decisions on player movements in/out amongst the higher paid players. That would be logical for mine

I'm not sure we're going to recruit anyone any better, especially if we're waiting to hear what the budgets are.
Until the RFL confirm the Dewsbury move all bets are off. If they veto it I think Chalmers will walk away. With that hanging over us it's no wonder we haven't announced any signings.

13554.jpg The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!
If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

| Begs the question if Chalmers does walk away? What could happen next?
Sod Hall will be full in the spotlight for allowing it to happen if he does!
Would the Bulls survive another change in ownership at the present time? who knows!
Could be another typical Winter for long long suffering Bulls Fans to while away!
Then again it may against hope turn out to be a storm in a teacup with the Club steering away from the rapids of very uneconomic waters to less turbulent ones!!

If we went into admin again I think the game would be up. Like last time nobody would be interested unless the lease was part of the deal. Why Chalmers took over/was invited to take over by the RFL is still very unclear since it makes absolutely no sense financially. Why would you become owner of a loss making club with no assets, especially if you have no prior connection and no money behind you?
So if he walked away then the RFL would again be the ones deciding who took over and they would have to agree to a £72k a year rent and pick up the upkeep costs. Nobody in their right mind is going to do that.
