| Quote: DemonUK "I see the RFL now having a dilemma over the current situation. With the season starting 6 weeks after Xmas this administration must be done with fairly quickly as the RFL need to be sure they have clubs to fulfill fixtures. I would think sadly there may be a small chance of the RFL revoking the Bulls RFL membership if it is not sorted quickly and bringing a club up from League 1 (Barrow). Placing the Bulls in League 1 when and only when a takeover is finalised. The timing of this could go against the Bulls. Hope it doesn't but you have to admit this is faintly possible.'"
Reading the RFL statement it sounds like you maybe right. The statement is worded to suggest they have had enough and that they will be looking at other clubs interests first.
"In these circumstances the RFL will always seek to support a club in difficulty for the sake of those directly affected and also on behalf of the Chairmen and Boards of well managed clubs who deserve stability"
Bulls going into League 1 would actually cost a fair few teams thousands in revenue. I doubt Batley, Fev, Halifax, etc v Barrow would be the kind of draw that the Bulls is to them, and the attendances would reflect this.
I fear the worst is yet to come.
However if the club was to be kicked into League 1, why not simply start again without any ties to anything. Bradford Northern 2016, they is nothing that really means the club should bend over backwards. SL status is gone unlike on the other 2 admins, the central funding is as low as it will be anyhow and a years newly formed in league 1 is no worse than having the milstones round the Bulls neck from the RFL in the Championship with little chance of a top 4 finish.

| People always say its the players and employees that are worst hit. I disagree. Most will get employment elsewhere. The demise of a club hits fans the worst. Most will just give up on RL completely rather than start supporting a different team.
I fear for our own future if we fail promotion next year. A difference though, is Hull only has 2 teams competing for financial backing in a 20 mile radius. In West Yorks, its about 9 across all 'pro' leagues.
Good luck, wouldn't want Northern to go bust, even as a Rovers fan.

Well that's a bit rich coming from a body that keeps insisting we take the offer from blokes with no bloody money!

We start on minus 12 and that's the top 4 effectively out of reach. So that's a season where we know we can achieve nothing and the resulting apathy from fans simply exacerbates the financial predicament for whatever owner emerges. Or we go genuinely bust and emerge in Championship 1 with some new places to visit.
Which do people prefer?

Second option at Horsfall Stadium. Ditch Odsal, the Bulls and bring back the Northern moniker. Bring a sad and sorry episode to an end.

| I expect Leeds to come back in with offers for Mellor and O'Brien, had offers rejected by Bradford in the past few months.

You pick that carcass clean, lad. While you're at it why not try and buy our WCC wins to add to yours too?

Blimey that would be good! In your first admin he was one of only a small number of posters who made any sense and was able to throw any light on what was happening. I say this as a Wakey fan for whom admin, in those days, was a constant threat and sometimes a reality.
I have said this before unfortunately, but I hope you guys come through this and start to find some success again.

That's a good question Pumpy, and to be honest, I really don't know.
We've been through the "oh dear me, what is to become of us" mode at least three times now and the effect/shock/desperation gets weaker and weaker each and every time. I'm not going to say I'm in a, 'don't care' mode, because it isn't true but I am feeling a little less bothered. I may though be bordering on not knowing just how much I really care.
If the club, as currently set up, disappears, then I'm sure that "something", what ever that something is will arise in its place - most likely something new, with no connection to any previous incarnation. Truth be told, if that something is in the bottom division of the Pennine league then so be it. Hopefully it won't be quite so drastic. Qué sera sera...

I'm glad you think your huge support is so very important to the league to these little clubs you named above. We were all surviving and making this an exciting league when you were in SL going into administration and begging all RL fans to help give money to save your 'iconic club'
This massive fan base you have haven't saved the club on the last 3 occasions. It's time you stopped being so santamonious and bite the bullet. The bulls are done and dusted. Not because of anyone at other clubs it's down to the People who ran your club and ran it into the ground, several times. I hope you survive but never at the expense of other clubs. Start again move away from Odsal and show us and the RFL what an asset you can be the league your in.

| The disappointing thing about being in admin and seeing a list of "potential" new or interested owners, that in reality none of the names mentioned will take on the club and the debt it has racked up.
We all know how this will pan out;
1. We will not come out of admin
2. New owner buys club for minimal amount
3. Clubs debts are cleared
4. New owner states he/she is hopeful that players will stay
5. New owner states he has had "positive" discussions with the RFL
6. Some players refuse to TUPE and leave
7. RFL make press release saying Bulls docked 12 points and impose a ridiculous financial penalty.
8. We start the season with skeleton squad adding rubbish journeymen as and when they become available.
9. We sign Karl Pryce
The only time we will ever stop this vicious cycle is when the right owner is found. I'm fearful that Green's charge against the lease will make him the highest creditor again, although i wouldn't think a charge against the lease will have a bearing on the Bulls administration package.
We have just got to let the process complete (felt like months when Gargoyle was administrator), and see if the new owner is someone of credibility.
Never trusted Green, just an opportunist, looking to get lucky with his new "Toy"

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| God, I hope the RFL don't support us too much. They exacerbated the first administration by stupidly loaning us money then taking our only asset.
They then approved Omar, who only had a few quid, then effectively fined him £1.2m which any idiot could see he didn't have, guaranteeing a 2nd administration and relegation.
Because they now own the stadium, they are between a rock and a hard place. They need a tenant, but the terms of the tenancy means that only a SL club with SL funding could survive at Odsal. But equally they are desperate to avoid being accused of favouritism.
What a bloody mess the RFL have allowed themselves to get entangled in

| VAT Notice 701/5 deals with club memberships. I would imagine the argument is about whether the membership is single or multiple supplies. single means there can be multiple but one is the majority, in which case it's vat rate applies to all services supplied. Multiple each one stands on its own so standard zero exempt whatever. If I had been considering claiming multiple supplies I would have used a VAT consultant with PI insurance to advise me about it so I could make a claim if it went pear shaped, but equally I would anticipate them, mindful of their PI premium, saying forget it.
What was that film about a couple of yuppies (remember them?) doing up an old house? The Black Hole - no, The Money Pit!!!!
