Please describe failing altogether. The game will continue to be played with or without a pro team as it has for over a hundred years.

| Quote: Pumpetypump "Claims that Bradford has a significant amateur scene seems odd to me. It is not what you would call a rugby city by any means. So, whilst we have a few clubs, any suggestion of starting from scratch using that amateur scene as a backbone is pure bonkers.
It seems those who want to offer quasi sage advice to us from outside the area probably know little about the reality on the ground.'" ]
Whilst it may not be a rugby city I would say that we do have a significant amateur scene with a bit more than a few clubs that will continue with or without a pro club.

I think that's a pretty accurate summation of affairs. If Omar doesn't bring in some directors [and it's [ihis[/i call] and let's the whole business go even nearer the dogs, then it's his money he will lose when the admin men come calling [again].

Looking in at this mess my problem is that OK clearly wanted out big style only a few months ago and that his main objective now appears to be to try to claw back the funds he put in.
The last set of directors were trying to get the operation to break even which in itself was a hugh task how on earth do you think you can not only breakeven but also generate a cash surplus to repay nearly £1m? Anyone who thinks you can put money into a SL club and get it back has lost touch with reality.

| "I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone. We don't know what's happening and it's the uncertainty that makes it worse.
A direct quote from FC taken from Sky Sports website today.
So it's clear that nobody is providing that openness/transparency that all parties have at one time or another promised. It's frustrating being a supporter but how much more so if you're a player/ coaching staff/ admin staff member?
I'm not holding my breath that the local media will press the owner and the former directors for clarity. No doubt we will be treated to another tale of how well pre season training is going

| Mr Khan has every right to make attempts to recover his investment but business and investments are risk. Risk is what you chance your arm at to accumulate.
"Sometimes you win sometimes you lose"
I am sure that the RFL tried to offer alternatives, negotiate possibilities and explore avenues from all parties (Socratic dialogue)) I would be seriously disappointed if that was not the case.
Perhaps the current owner is paying for loans plus any interest on them and may need the money. I think it is fairly clear now he wants out. I would like to believe that that the RFL still have interested parties, but as the shares are tied up with Mr Khan there is not much to be done.
I think the board before the last one under Mr Khan were not realistic in their expectations and as the skilled and informed people on this forum have suggested he has gone in without the skills or the mindset required.
This is a really serious issue and I think should be treated as such with some urgency. There has already staff being deprived of their jobs and potentially further job losses. Confidence is at an all time low although I stand to be corrected on that one.
FC saying on another sports website is saying he has no idea what's happening.
Is it that Mr Khan should see some sense?

The problems faced by the situation, which seems to be the chaos theory unfolding in the public domain, is that not even those at the sharp end will understand everything that is actually happening. So for us mortal fans to understand everything is doubly impossible. We ask for the "Truth" and "Transparency" and accuse people of lying.
As a question! What is the truth that we seek, because everybody has differing perceptions of what they expect the truth to be. Lies have the same rules
So it is with transparency, your expected transparency will be different to mine and so on.
You are I suspect right on the button when you say those at the actual sharp end in the club, are frustrated with the whole situation, absolutely peed off is probably a better way to put it.
All we can hope for is that someone in the position of making things happen, chooses the right path, and the chaos begins to dissipate. We cannot say who was/is the Mr or Mrs right at this moment?
A crystal ball is required urgently????

The bloke deserves a medal in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong everyone has a right to decide how they spend they're money but all these people saying they're going to ask for their season ticket money back or aren't going to games because of what's going on in my opinion miss the point.
I'm not going to Odsal to support the board of directors.

| Rarebreed -- sorry if my posting was unclear . I don't intend to join a philosophical debate about the meaning and perception of truth as I accept your analysis. I was merely expressing my frustration that so many of the parties have professed a belief in openess yet are so quiet. Simply stated I would expect that :
1. The resigning directors would have spoken to the players and staff rather than just issuing a statement on Christmas Eve
2. The owner would have done the same once those resignations had occurred
Macbull- totally agree regarding FC and your strictures to those who intend to boycott matches-- if the Bulls do take to the field in February I'll be there regardless of ownership or directors.o
One final point--
When the date for any Bullbuilder / Supporters meeting is confirmed please publicise on this forum

| If we don’t make the start it will cost the other clubs money. I read a debate somewhere about:
 Would the RFL simply use it as a way or reducing the league by one?
 Would each team continue to get the £60k of ours if we are not there? If they don’t, they may have budgeted for it.
 Teams would miss out on a decent away following at their lost home games with us – on top of no away support from London and Catalan.
 It was stated that Leeds would lose about £100k by not playing us at Headingly and a championship team came in – they wouldn’t get 18,000 gate with a championship team? Add the £60k and Leeds lose about £160k if we don’t start – the wages of two of their players?
 If a new team came in would they also get the £60k or would it be stopped for all?
 If we didn’t start and weren’t replaced would supporters want a refund on their season tickets at other clubs as there is one less home game? If Leeds dropped out would I want a refund for that missing home game – I am sure some would!
When you look at these types of questions it is clear that the RFL are in a potential mess if we drop out before the start as a replacement would not be ready to take our spot.
