A few years ago when we got a richer backer, the same as any smaller club does, we paid overinflated wages for average players with bigger reputations. The same way KR are paying big bucks to Paul Cooke we were paying large wages to players like Rauhihi, Gleeson, Parker, Johnson, Readon et al who have all left within the last 12-18 months. Then bringing Myler, Atkins and Solomona in and promoting from the academy isn't really going to push you miles above the cap now is it.
What is concerning for us is players like Harrison and Bridge who will require much larger contracts next time round

I understand all that, but from an outside pov if you look at a squad with Atkins, King, Hicks, Briers, Myler, Monaghan, Morley, Carvell, Westwood & Higham in then it seems alot of talent in one squad.

I don't think Warrington are top of the list when it comes to likely salary cap breakers anyway.
