| Whilst I was disappointed to lose Scruton and Sammut I understanding of their reasons for going. I have since wondered whether with the advantage of a crystal ball, Scruton might well still have be at the club. I suspect Wakefield would be very reluctant to strengthen our hand and neither player is worth making a silly offer to tempt them.
It would be nice if this next signing is a permanent one though. FC has recently said that a signing was complicated due to other clubs being involved so perhaps there are a few deals being finalised that are dependant on one another.

| Quote: hindle xiii "I didn't think that happened in football either. I don't know what it is as such but my impression is once that squad number is allocated, and announced, then it's 'registered' against that player for the season. It seems there's been some swapping and changing at other teams in pre-season after squad lists are announced but apart from that each new recruit, including all of our 7 loanees have a new squad number.'"
Does in football;
Anderson was no.8 for Man U when the season started, played a couple of games. Now Mata is no.8 for United, as they sold Anderson in January.
Rugby, being a different sport, may be completely different. Grey are for me i'm afraid.

| Would love to get Kafusi for the rest of the season. Showed Manukafoa how to run the ball in. Never took a backward step and charged into the tackle.

That nasty Huddersfield giving you good players again eh?
Glad he's done well - Bold move by PA to show he's not afraid to drop an underperforming "first choice" player. Loaning players has worked well with ferguson to KR last year and mullally to bulls this. Mullallys enthusiasm to run hard at the likes of huby and lynch when he came on yesterday shamed kopczak and Eorl into their best performances so far this year. Loanees leave eager to improve, do well at their loan club and come back eager to work hard on the field at giants. Win win all round.

Exactly, it's good for player and both clubs. Although you can keep Kopczak

I'd guess that is normally the case - bit like the chain you get when house buying..

| Think a lot of perspective players who had ideas to join us are waiting to see what they are getting into, with this win over Warrington and we played really well may just sway them, if is was another's thumping they would maybe look somewhere else.

| Think that's very true Broady.
I think players look to playing for the most successful sides they can and probably, as pro-sport is a very short career in the great scheme of things, they look for the 'best' deals they can get.
I guess your prospective employer going bust isn't something most people think too much about when mulling over job offers, but it sure as hell concentrates the mind when it does happen, that's for sure and it definitely has to be amongst our current problems in getting 'staff'.
