Technically yes.

IIRC, there was a deadline set of 2019 in which the club had to play 80%[?] of home games at Odsal or they were liable to repay the money given in the Odsal settlement [C£5m], or a, at least a proportion of that money. The money was granted in 2000 and was for 19 years as we're on [nearly] 17 now the proportion to repay must be pretty small now.

That was purely for the 'settlement' money and I'm far from sure there is any limit on the number of games in terms of the general lease. I guess the RFL could set up an amateur team to play at Odsal if they wanted, after all the original business granted the money is long gone.

Dang. There is literally nothing about that deal that did anybody any good.

One of the best deals the council ever made, imo.

Of course it took two parties to agree to it, and if our then board hadn't been quite so gung ho about how they were going to get such an unbelievable team, that would attract, oooh, who knows, 50k for home games per week? then maybe they might have gone through the small print little more closely.

Well indeed, that again was a brilliant deal for the other party. Particularly when they didn't pay the full whack for the lease, in order to get back a loan they had given us [again, behind closed doors, iirc?]. An even better deal for the RFL when, surprise surprise, we went belly up a short while afterwards and if they hadn't taken the loan they'd have got pennies in the pound from admin.

Looking at what KR have just done to FC we will be beaten by 100 even if we cobble a team together.

FC's team was full of kids with a few first teamers in to give match practice to. I wouldn't read a thing into that result.
