| What a win!
If you’d have told me we’d be 3 wins from our first 4 games I’d have bitten your hand off. Well done EOC and the squad!

| God I enjoyed that.
Thought Mr Vella and his tough judges were appalling today. Despite his best efforts to keep Toulouse in the game (how many late shots did he miss on Lilley!?) I thought we kept our heads and looked a well coached, well drilled team.

| Really impressive effort, our goal line defence was once again rock solid.
I know Gilly got the official MoM but I thought Jordan Lilley was outstanding today. They targeted him in defence and also with the ball but he came out on top.
Some really odd calls from the officials, the Arundel ball strip in front of the touchie was unbelievable. Hopefully no repercussions for Tafua clapping the decision which he probably shouldn't have but the touch judge seemed intent on provoking further reaction which thankfully didnt come.
3 from 4 against some of the better sides in the comp is better than I expected given the injury list.

| Also Jorge Tafua kissing and polishing John Davies baldy head was a comical moment! What a character.

| The limp loss to an incredibly average widnes is well and truly forgiven. If you'd said we'd go out of the cup tamely but then beat feath and toulouse I'd have bitten your hand off. Does gaskell slot straight back in when he's fit? It's a bit of a revelation our odd half back pairing and Lilly seems to be thriving with it.

| Defensively we are stronger with Davies at 6, no doubt. Gaskell does offer more running threat and kick options though. Tough call but good to know we have a capable back up in Davies though.

Big question is barring injuries can they really come back into the squad?

| Gaskell comes straight in when fit. Davies has been a revelation, but we've played on small heavy pitches so it suits us more. As the grounds firm up (if they ever do) we'll need a more natural stand-off and Davies can slot in at 13.
Scurr comes straight on for me too. But the others will have to be patient and earn their spot back. Nice position to be in.

| Agreed but I would add that Blackmore probably comes straight back if he's fit since he adds so much go forward.

This is a very good question. If everyone was fit, I assume we’d send back all the loanees? From yesterday’s squad that would be 2x middles, Rodgers & Wilson and 2x backs, Carr and McGowan. They’ve all done well. Holmes I suppose can cover halves if Gaskell is out for a while. There’s a lot of competition for places

I believe that Ben Blackmore is playing for Rochdale on dual reg. He scored a hatrick.

You are correct!
Blackmore appears to have played the full 80 and scored a hat trick. I assume he will be straight back into the starting line up for York away.

| That's 2 years in a row Toulouse have turned up more intent on niggling and trying to spark trouble. Glad we kept our heads both times.
I think when Lilley has someone strong along side him dictating who is doing what he seems to thrive? Maybe cos he knows what he's concentrating on. You could hear Davies in the early sets barking orders and turning the air blue!
Those last ten mins we're awful though - have these guys never listened to Stevo? Up the jumper time!
Dodgy offloads in our own half and the refs curious decisions definitely kept it interesting!
