| I'm a bit surprised that Crossley wasn't shipped out on dual-reg or loan to a Championship Club. He needs game time, and I don't mean in the U20s.
I guess that won't happen now, we'll need him for cover with Scruton out.

Crossley is steady away but he's not ripping up the U20s though, which is what he needs to do regularly to push himself forward. Either a loan or dual contract might be his best way into first team football. Not sure that Tom Burgess is really ready yet but he does have more 'moments' than Steve and is higher in the pecking order for mine.

| Not really at all the subject matter for an April Fool "joke", though, is it?
It is a big blow for us, but we should be used to them. It is also an opportunity for someone else, and that's just the way we have to take it, as in reality we ain't got no choice.
I do wish someone would bulldoze away that pile of dead black cats on Stadium road.

| How did Scruton injure his wrist?
Please tell me it was in training and we aren't following the pack and he's yet another Superleague player injured whilst carrying out a domestic chore. He wasn't lagging the boiler or creosoting a fence or something?

| It was during the Saints game apparently.
Nothing to do with freak accidents involving brooms.
Nor was his injury caused by his over exuberant signing of his 3 year deal

Well that's some comfort then we are still doing our own thing. Infact it's another example of how Bradford Bulls are yet again reclaiming their rightful place as Superleague innovaters. Players injured during a match not in their houses.

| Isn't his wrist the reason Hetherington got rid of him at Leeds? He had an op on it during the off season and I do remember him holding his wrist as though it was hurting him during the warm up of a pre season game.

I thought him leaving Leeds was down to him wanting more 1st team rugby, which he wasn't getting at the Rhinos?

That's what was said at the time. He was also offered a contract at Leeds, so I don't understand the "Leeds got rid" comment.
