| Its all crap anyway. The Bulls financial year ends 31/12 not 301/11 - its the SALARY CAP YEAR that ends 30/11. And financial year ends have no bearing on what he is paid for and second year on contracts or whatever.
Seems to me Mimis is playing hardball to try and get out of the target club - or Pratford - having to pay a release fee. They may think if they can drag it on past 30/11 then Bulls will either have to register Pratford as a salary cap player for 2012 or release him so they do not. the stance the RFL are taking will be crucial if that is the case. If they are supporting Bradford then we may be OK. If not, then we are into the realms of having Pratford costs on our 2012 salary cap, even if he has left us, if it ends up being US that has to pay anything. He and dungheap Mimis might argue that he asked for a release but Bulls made it impossible by imposing terms too onerous, therefore his desire to leave was frustrated and so he accepts he still has to play for us. And then we have to pay him off...
If that's the case, I hope him and Mimis rot in the very darkest depths of hell.

you would certainloy hope that we've sought, and received clarification, as to how the RFL view the situation. I'd hope that fact we've been allowed to sign herbert, before finalising orford's release, is proof of that.
I'd have thought that absolute worst case would be we just grant orfords requested release, hopefully leaving him without a club or a wage for 2011 (although Im sure someone would find cap space for him).

It's interesting how the Aussie media never seems to check the facts before running a story too

Murdoch thinks he does.
I gather he owns a newspaper of that same name, too?

Yeah, I can remember a time when the tabloid press in this country was semi reasonable and actually employed proper journalists. Murdoch was certainly at the heart of everything that turned the British press sour.

| If we do have to keep (and pay the pill0ck), he should be made to attend every match and act as waterboy, wearing training kit (shorts, not tracky bottoms), and freeze his proverbials off

| Can't see us having to pay Orford. He's asked for a release. His manager has clearly been offering him round NRL clubs. If he doesn't want to play for Bradford then fine, tear up his contract. But until he, his manager, or an NRL club pays us compensation then we hold his player registration.
