'"
Roofaldo,
This isn't actually true, if you look at your tickets, it will not state where in the ground you have been allocated to, in actual fact you can choose to stand/sit wherever you want in the ground. It is just now that there is a surcharge to sit in the stand that most Bradford fans sat in last year (railway end). This surcharge applies to Fev fans, Bradford fans, neutral fans, Season ticket holders like me, sponsors or anyone else. As has already been said you can choose not to pay the surcharge.
This is where I think the club (Fev) has been naive in my previous post, what they should have done (if they wanted to try and cash in) is announce before any tickets where issued that it is £20 for this stand, send £20 tickets to Bradford, and state that anyone transferring to this stand from the rest of the ground would be charged a extra £2 surcharge. Then allow people in and out of this stand with the £20 ticket or wristbands for anyone paying the extra £2.
Back in the day I remember it costing me 5p extra to transfer to the main stand, but I knew well in advance that this was the case.
For me the issue is about the lack of notification (whether I agree with what the club has done is another matter).
Yours in sport,
Dave

| I agree Dave. I think it's a mess how this has been done and has needlessly annoyed people for the sake of a few quid. I think it'll be difficult to explain the rationale behind this move to fans who had no extra charge to sit in these seats for the corresponding game last season without it sounding like the club are just trying to cash in.
At the end of the day £2 isn't much and there's a danger in blowing things out of proportion.

| Yep, needed to announce it before tickets were on sale instead of 24hours later. £2 isn't much (11% increase though) but for some there will be a principle involved.
It'll be interesting to see how many pay up for the railway end.
Because otherwise 6500 fans will be trying to fit into the other 3/4 of the ground....
Do the fev season ticket holders have allocated seats?

According to Mick the oracle we had sold over 3 thousand yesterday afternoon so looks like we returned a thousand.

Hi Highlander,
There are a few allocated seats but not many, to be honest when you get home gates of around 2,000 and a ground with a significantly higher the capacity (including around 5,000 seats) then there is not a lot of point.
From what I understand there are a number of games on before kick off from 12.30pm when teams from the Fev Ambassador Clubs take to the field in a series of games. and there is Fev v Bradford Ladies league game kicking off at around 5pm. So maybe a question of coming early and leaving late.
Have a great trip over and I hope to meet you as many of you as I can before during and after the game.

It depends where Mick got his info from, I know my info was on tickets actually sold, maybe Micks was on anticipation of selling?

Precisely the point. Absolutely spot on, had they issued £20 tickets to sit there, there would sure be a few complaining about the price increase, but a lot less miffed people than there are now. People could choose in advance if they wanted to pay it or not. The way it's been done I think is the main issue, rather than it being done.
I must admit, I'm one of those "on principle" people. If I think someone is trying to rip me off or hoodwink me, I'll go the opposite way and make sure I don't give them anything. There'll be others that aren't bothered at all, and some that will fall somewhere inbetween.
What is a shame is that this is such a big discussion point when we should all be talking exclusively about a win-or-bust game that everyone is looking forward to, and hopefully played on and off the field in the best spirits possible.

Or he just made it up. As usual.

Over 4,000 have been sold in total. Featherstone are expecting a crowd of between 6,500 and 7,000.
Bradford have just over two thousand as of ten minutes ago.

| Apparently Gaskell, Clarke and Clough all not playing this weekend. Does the forum think this is because they are not fit, are fit but play but lacking match fitness for such an important game or are fit but Rohan does not want to play them because they are all leaving the club and don't figure in his plans? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

| I dont know. I hope they're not all leaving and I could understand if they wernt selected due to the fact that they are actually leaving.
Then again though, if they are fit then should you be making use of some of your best assets at all times? I would probably say yes.
Another thing that has crossed my mind if they have signed for KR and Giants, do we play them vs those sides providing we actually make it. Surely they will have signed because the want to play SL as opposed to CL rugby, and we could in effect do a role reversal, again providing we make it.
Does this compromise their mindset and performance?
Are we right to question their professionalism?

| Plus whoever else for dual reg. I'll expect Mullally and either Golding or Handley or both. God knows what their team will look like on Sunday.
Farce.
Really hope we're fired up as this is not going to be easy.
