You signed Uaisele.

You sent him on a 1 month loan to Dewsbury, so he's still our man. This is what he thinks of the BullsBut Uaisele is looking to stay with Glenn Morrison’s side beyond that initial period, saying

What do you make of that?

Why did you sign him, and does it worry you that he sees the mighty Dewsbury as a far better bet than us, so much so that he is prepared to publicly announce it while under contract and being paid handsomely by you?

It suggests to me that Etu is looking, fairly realistically, to his future.

To be fair, I remember him with Sheffield a couple of years back and he was regarded as one of the best finishers in the division. He's only shown glimpses of that at Odsal it has to be said, though a chance to get a settled run for a few games might have helped, but it was difficult/impossible to be fair to everyone with such a large, some might say bloated, squad of players, all wanting their chance. I think that last fact is far more relevant to mistakes made by the club, than anything Uaisele has said, to be honest.

If SF truly believes he's assembled a full time squad over 18 months or so that goes to Dewsbury (17 fit players) as underdogs then thats a damning assessment on the squad he's produced and Lowes is coaching . We might well actually be underdogs on the form and performances both teams have shown recently but we really shouldn't be at this stage of our attempt to get back into SL.

Its also an interesting turn of phrase from Russ about no new signings this week, implication of a signing in process maybe?? or am I just clutching at straws?

Being out of the cup so early could do us some good. Just get through this game, don't need to be convincing just get the win. Then we have a bit of a break before our next match which hopefully might give us chance to get Sidlow, Kavanagh and Williams back from injury.
Who knows, there might also be time during that break to find a scrum half, even if it's only a loan deal.

"Underdogs" Not really a confidence booster, can't believe I'm reading a damage limitation statement from the mighty Bulls.

Or if we lose again, time to interview and have a new coach in place.

Full time pro team with injuries but enough squad depth to cover vs part-time team struggling to get 17 fit players for the game.
One of those can rightly be called the underdogs, the other has no right to that title.
It's an idiotic cry for sympathy when none is deserved.
The fans will be loyal to the club, but how loyal are the club to the fans? The fans pay for their tickets expecting the club to fulfil a number of unspoken promises; that the club will ensure that the club will attempt to sign the best quality players and that those players will be properly coached into a winning side. Those promises are not being met and the club needs to address this.

I know a lot of people want us to sign a 7, the trouble is actually finding one of suitable quality. However, Siejka's performances last year should have alerted the club to the fact that a replacement would be needed for this year even if he hadn't asked for a release.
The tactics employed by Lowes seem to be consistently the same ie 5 drives up the middle followed by an ineffective kick and seem to bare no relationship to the team we're facing. Which makes me wonder, does Lowes actually bother scouting the next opposition? It would seem a fairly basic idea in terms of training, to know your opponents strengths and weaknesses and how best to set up your team to exploit them but that doesn't seem to be happening but if that's down to Lowes just not bothering or just simply not knowing how is debatable.

Also, with training the team don't seem to bother with defence as the defensive line never seems to move as a unit and far too often allows the attacking team to come to them rather than move forward to try and force the attackers on to their back foot. Then we get to the actual tackling - the technique (if that's what you want to call it) for Bradford is very poor. Virtually every tackle we have 2/3 guys tackling round the top of an attacker but no one going for the legs. It's very hard to run with someone's arms locked round your legs, but it's easier when your legs are free to keep pushing forward.
