He's back in full training so I'm expecting him to be back for the first match of the Middle 8s. If he had played yesterday the result might've been different, but he didn't need to.

Losing Gaskell hasn't been our problem. It's the fact our other two half backs have been injured at the same time. We've had a centre and back row forward as our half backs for a number of weeks. If Joel Moon and Carl Ablett were at 6&7 for Leeds, they would lack quality.

So after the Fax loss there can be no more excuses from the team or coach as they keep telling us "this is the business end of the season" and the the "bigger picture" are now here.

May I respectfully request that Mr James Lowes alters tactics for the M8 ; the half time "talk" should be given prior to the match starting.

So the fixtures are announced on Wednesday. Which game would you like 1st up? Halifax? Sheffield? Or straight into the big boys? I can see benefits of both.

I might be tempted to get one of the lower ranked teams up 1st to hopefully give some of our returning/new players a chance to get back up to speed. However, if we lost one of those games then we'd be really up against it. Guess fate (RFL) will decide?

I'd bet good money that we get a super league team up 1st. Widnes in the 1st game may be good especially if Kev Brown isn't back yet.

Thats what im hoping we can face them before they are full strength again, Chase is back for Salford not sure how long the 2 are missing from KR

I'd presume that the teams that have 4 home games will have a home game first up. Wouldn't mind Hull KR at home however, they're strongest team in 8's but after the semi could be best time to play them!

Unless they get spanked.

I want the order of fixtures to be:

Sheffield (H) - should win this one and give Gaskell and Mullaney a chance to get back up to speed.
Widnes (H) - if we beat Sheffield we'll be a little more confident having already got 2 points on the board.
Hull KR (A) - if Rovers make the Challenge Cup Final, this game will be played the week before IIRC. Will the Rovers players prioritise a home game vs a Championship team over a Cup Final?
Halifax (H) - very capable of winning this one with our best players out there.
Leigh (A) - real tough game at the LSV but with our key players available it's very possible that we can get a win there.
Salford (H) - tough game against SL opposition.
Wakefield (A) - could be the decider for 3rd/4th/5th

First post on this site so a bit like first speeches are made in The House of Commons - not controversial. I hope we perform well enough in the eights to gain promotion to Super League. I was hoping that with Warrington signing Chris Sandow perhaps they might have a half back to spare like Gareth O'Brien but it would appear not.

Anyone tried to guess all the results yet for the super 8's ?
