| Said on Sky that the two companies would remain separate and that the Bulls would continue to play at Odsal. What's in it for BCFC?
Seems odd.

| If the deadline for bids/expression of interest is tomorrow, then the bids have to be assessed. Judging on recent history and Mr Wood being in Australia it is hard to say how long this could take.
My concern for you is that I thought I heard Mick Potter say that without a buyer in place (or to the effect of someone to pay his salary) then KR is his last match. He only has finite money for him and his family and he is to head back home.
As an aside, with these bids to be assessed it may mean a further RFL advance of funds (Sky money?) to pay the salaries of the players which I thought were due next week?
Either way, belatedly and painfully as it has been, it is good to see some interest and RFL deemed credible bids for the Bradford club. Hope the waiting is over soon enough. We had about a week and a half of this uncertainty and can sympathise directly with your pain.
Good luck.

guilfoyle asked for that advance to cover august wages when last deadline came up (july 27th I think). RFL were considering it over weekend then it sort of got lost in hoohaa about the SLE bid. It was never explicitly stated that they had granted it, but given guilfoyle was only going to extend deadline on receipt of said money and he hasnt liquidated us yet, we must assume August wages have been covered.

| Apologies if this has been said before (as its hard to follow every thread all day)
There was never any chance of BG making any announcement about bids that were in from whatever source until the Widnes and HKR games had been played and he got whatever gate revenues he could to go towards his fees
This required stringing the people doing it for nothing along until then as much as he could/has

| Gareth Jones @garethjones25
Bradford City Rhodes says they've discussed terms with RFL about Bradford Bulls but NO formal written bid has been put in #bcafc @BBCLeeds
Certainly looks like it isn't going to be sorted imminently if the formal bid has yet to go in.

So does that mean they have not made an actual offer that supposedly was better than the Super League Europe or not.Or have they just said verbally we are willing to pay so many £'s.
This justs gets more confusing if that is possible.

| All City are bothered about is some way of getting back the lease for ODSAL to fund buying back VP from Flamingo land. Then we will be hung out to dry.
I don't see how getting in to bed with a fourth division football team is going to save us.

Yet in this the RFL are reported to have received an offer and carried out due diligence.
"A spokesman for the RFL confirmed they have received the offer and executive officers carried out 'due diligence' before making a recommendation to the board of directors."
Does this mean there are 2 offers if BCFC haven't put in a formal offer, which couldn't have undergone and scrutiny, or are the various reporters confused?
I'd assume anything on the super league site would have at least a passing connection with red hall so are they misunderstanding the offer?

Your guess is as good as mine! Once again it is as clear as extremely thick mud!

Unless theres a big sugar daddy behind this bid, a massive reduction in costs is what is needed. with a newco playing at VP with no debts paid off so championship thats a big reduction in stadium costs and players costs that should see the 2010 £3.1m cost of sales slashed to a level commensurate with the income from a core of fans. No, for me VP is not an issue, its the academy which is a part of that cost of sales that is the Bulls future, what will happen to that?
thought I posted this at 9.30, coming back from the allotment to discover not so. no doubt further and better particulars have been completely speculated about in the meantime

..... and all this underhand pillaging would be via an unconditional bid ? Really ?
Now if you'd said that City may be motivated by moving the Bulls to VP. Then they use use their collected leverage to squeeze the Council to fund the purchase of VP for both clubs from a sale of Odsal then ...... possibly.
There has to something in it for City, just like there has to be something in it for any bidder. The fact this bid is supposed to be unconditional rearding the lease suggests they have no interest in Odsal. However if the City are working with the Council and there is a bigger SV picture then I could be wrong.

Why a massive reduction? IIRC turnover from the last published accounts was about 3.9M add to which the reported losses of 1.2M means to break even we'd need about 5m based on current costs where we are spending up to the salary cap. Since costs aren't likely to rise significantly, and may even fall if we're not paying overdraft fee's, the gap may not be insurmountable. If we kept the majority of season ticket holders adding an average £50 to the price generates 500k (10000 * £50) and while there would likely be some fall off for an increased price there will be a price point that, while not covering the losses, can make it viable to cater for them in other areas.
Of course beer prices would have to go back up and since the fans asked for the reduction at one of the forums it's really our own fault.
