| Quote: Wilde 3 "How did Cator and Jack Brown do?'"
Cator was superb. An all action type player who got through a ton of work.
Brown was quieter (we have a player called Ebon Scurr who is almost identical to him, short, stocky, socks down) so was hard to tell them apart to be honest.

From Hull you have a great little player, stay positive.'"

| This might sound a bit negative but 3 of the 4 trys were barge overs plus some.magic from Pickers (barring that he had a shocker)
The.only times we managed to break them down with rugby was a terrible long ball to Brown in the first half and Matty Dawsons try being pulled back for a forward pass in the second half.
Im happy with the win just a bit frustrated and wanted to see a bit more attacking rugby when we had them on the ropes. Am i alone in thinking we had an opportunity to put some points on.
Defence looks pretty good tho. Thought we were really strong again.
As a side note, where was every one!?!?!?
Really, really poor following today.
Only just over the hil, a game we were expecting to win and we have that poor turn out? Massively disappointing.

When you put the game on Our League people are gonna stay at home and watch it rather than venture out.

| Being on our league doesn't put me off going but a 1815 kickoff when the boy has school the next day certainly does.

I don't see what the fuss is about with the 6.15pm kick offs. A few years ago we used to kick off at 6pm on a sunday every week.
6.15pm will mean game is finished by 8pm latest. Games in Super League are barely started on a Thursday by that time.

The fact I and others travel 2 hours plus to get to a game means you aint getting home to 11pm on a Sunday night so thats already lost money for the club. Also plenty of parents with kids aren't gonna bother with early start Monday.
With our young fan base now you aren't going to see many who have watched us play late nights too.

Correct, but we were winning then so it wasnt an issue.
Now we arent as successfull people use it as a convenient excuse.

| Well I didn't have children those 'few years' by few I take it you mean 15 plus years ago!! Call it a convenient excuse if you wish, but I'm just stating my opinion that I think that KO time for anyone with young children is a non starter. I took my boy to the London game but I wouldn't entertain trying to keep him up for the later kick off. Obviously they can't please everyone though and I see what they're attempting to do regarding the tv exposure, time will tell if it is worth it.
One other thing to consider is that players in this league are mostly part time so will likely have work the next day, which might be a consideration for any sides that might need to travel such as London? Hopefully these things are being considered when schedule decisions are made.

I revert to the 17th chapter of the book of Job in these matters: Blessed is he who doth not expect, for he shall not be disappointed.

Alternatively, we didn't have families then and went on the lash afterwards and weren't bothered about work.
Now we have kids and are trying to hook them in to keep the club alive it's a pain arguing with your 9 yr old having to explain why she can't come but her older sisters can. Convenient as phuq that!
