| Not a good time of year for JK to jump ship with all that he has said re the Bulls being long term for him, he would certainly get a new Christian name also starting with J.

| If somebody offered anybody silly money and money was the most important factor to a coach, then as long as in addition appropriate compo was paid, it would happen.
It might be Kear has a release option if offered a SL job (which wouldn't affect the compo required from a new club) so if he actually joined us on those terms we could hardly complain.
But I don't see it as an attractive gig, and with crowds not uncomparable to ours I can't see it as a big money gig either.

| Thinking about it a little more, I am sure Kear sees us a his chance to surpass anything that he done so far, even Sheffield and the CC.
Return Bradford to where it should be and that's one hell of a legacy he leaves in the game. Go back to hudds to oversea a middle 8 fiasco isn't anything to write home about

That's my thoughts, money is always a consideration for anyone, but my reading of John Kear is its maybe more about the interesting project at this stage of his career (and that's not shudds imho), and I'm happy to take him at his word on what he hopes to achieve for himself with us. We couldn't really complain if he did leave for a higher paid SL gig, but I don't see it at the moment.
I suspect they'll give it to Thorman, at least until the end of this season, or they'll go shopping for another Aussie assistant. I'd like them to appoint Jimmy, that'd be entertaining.

| Bulls are far more interesting job at this stage. Not to mention still a bigger club.

The more he talked of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons.: |
|
| He will have a release clause.SL might be too good to turn down imo.If he get's the job I would offer Thorman a chance to make his name as a coach here at Odsal,as I think he's gonna be good.

| Looking at what Giants fans are saying on Total RL, there is very little money in the club - despite having a big money backer. That would tally with them signing (in their words) 'Championship players' (most of them from us)
If that's the case, I don't see why Kear would go there. They are basically 'just getting by' in SL at the moment, with poor crowds, and a squad that needs a total overhaul (but no money to do so). The best they can hope is to scrape into the Top 8, more likely they are destined for the Middle 8s - albeit with probably enough to stave off relegation.
Would that prospect attract John Kear, when - as has been said - he has taken on a 'project' with us? I would very much doubt it (and desperately hope not)

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| Also, the sheer amount of rugby he is overseeing, 1st team, reserves, 19’s, scholars - he appears to be in his element.

| I'd be more worried about losing Johnson and Wood back to Hudders with them already suffering an injury crisis and we've not had Easter out of the way yet.

Are they in their first team?

That was entirely my thought when I started this thread. the worse they play the more the coach, whoever it is, is going to look at them and think. As we've found out previously, 'year-long', loans are not neceesarily going to last the full season, unless there is some contract in place which I suspect will be very unlikely.

Both had squad numbers last year and I'm sure would have again if they weren't expected to spend the whole year elsewhere.
Thankfully for us, the forwards don't seem to be where their injury crisis is. It seems it's the backs that they're struggling with at the moment.

| I doubt Toovey's interested either. He came over here for a club that he'd heard of in hard times. Huddersfield in SL won't flicker his needle.
