But to humor you anyway - yes of course that it is different. The crowds have been dwindling since the start of our financial difficulties. This in turn affects on field performance. With a lack of success on the pitch at a high level. People decide to spend their money elsewhere.

I assume you know RL and the city of Bradford well. So you know RL is a working class sport and has been for a long time. The people who watch the rugby are mainly working class. Nowadays money is tight. They have less disposable income. So now the fans who were here for the great players, much success and our innovation with Bullmania have become more finacially restricted. And I can't blame them for spending their hard earned cash how they want.

Some clubs attendances fluctuate with success. It happens. Some will never get any more than they currently do. Keighley for example won't top their pre-season attendance of 2,231 (against us) for a whilst unless they get a big club in the cup or we get them in the league either next season or season after.

Shame really, because I personally (and I know many Bradford fans) want to see other teams do well, and we'd never wish financial difficulties on anyone. In fact the majority want to see RL thrive and yet there are still people like you who revel in our demise. I hope your team doesn't go through what we have, if you do then maybe, just maybe you'll understand that it's not the fans fault.

Given everything that's happened, a crowd of 4K is still a good showing from Bradford. Yes I know there probably wasn't that many there yesterday and the figure included all season tickets, but still, it shows there is still a want for RL in Bradford

The stand was reasonably full and I would be certain it had over 3000 in it. Having sat in it on matchdays for decades, I am in a good position to judge, and far better than someone who wasn't even there. The central area where i sit hardly had a spare seat.

Given the rest of the attendees elsewhere in the ground I would reckon there were indeed somewhere around 4000 in the ground so rather than try to be a smart attendances expert for no apparent reason, why not applaud the minor miracle of getting 4000 to pay to watch a scratch team almost bound to lose, in Siberian conditions?

If we are watching the pounds & pennies, does the advantage of having everyone in the provident stand, with the reduced stewarding requirements, under a roof (weather & acoustics), outweigh the disadvantages?

Basically, we were forced by weather to do that yesterday, is it worth considering doing that every home game, by choice?

If they considered it for every home game this season, I would think it's then going to cost them some money in refunding those season ticket holders who've paid for the Prov. Stand with the £50 difference that the terracing folk haven't paid.

Yesterday I couldn't even get to my seat. As a one-off "needs must" I'll stand for it, but I don't see why I should be sold a £249 ticket if the cheapest ground pass can sit in my chair.

Precisely. And even though there will be the odd fan that will have a season ticket for the stand who will say "It's ok, if it saves a few quid for the club I don't mind", there will in fact be 99% of those who bought them feeling a bit ripped off, even if they don't want to make an issue out of it (which of course some will).

I've gone in the stand this year, but that's largely because my knees are feeling my age a bit and I prefer to be sat now. I understand the health & safety reasons for doing it yesterday, but if it happened regularly, I'd be asking questions in the ticket office.
