| Paul Deacon? Not sure what he is up to apart from putting the cones out every 9 months for Steve Mac. Obviously when it goes teets up nothing would be his fault.

| Deac's is coaching in Union - Sale I think.
Didn't it say the Canada team are looking to train at our facilities when over here.
That solves it then.
Nobby can manage them in Canada but when he is here with them he can coach us in a job share agreement with Wayne Bennett when he is here doing his England duties. When neither are over here we could have Glen doing the other days.
I am sure FA could set up a spreadsheet model that works out the timings of training for when each coach happens to be in the area. This way we don't have to choose just one because we have most of them on the above list.

Morrison has had 3 good years at Dewsbury to cut his teeth and turned them into a solid mid-table team which is not bad given the likely budgets he'll have been working with as well as the part time environment and it's time he got chance to step up to a coaching a full time setup. '"
That's not impressive. We've been turned into a solid mid table team in only a season and a quarter.

I think that's a good shout. Always thought he could make it as a coach.
Wouldn't be too disappointed with Morrison.
I was never convinced Jimmy was the right man. A poor communicator.

| Forget Paul Rowley, he's signed on the dotted for Toronto with rumours of tapping up our current players too.

| We should be looking at NRL assistants as the Aussies always seem to be one step ahead of us. It takes time to filter into the English game.
Look at what Michael Maguire did for Wigan implementing new structures and tackling techniques. I would say since he left Shaun Wane hasn't taken them forward.
Not many good English coaches about, who can get an ordinary squad playing above themselves, only really Darrel Powel and John Kear but they're off limits.
Morrison is alright but not really excelled, we need to look overseas and I think Jason Demetriou would be a good bet.

| I think Demetriou is set for big things down under so can't see him coming here. Sure he would have gone to wakey if he fancied a coaching gig over here as he has a real affection for them.

| Quite a few coaches come to England before taking over NRL teams though.
I think we should be looking forward rather than back, too many names mentioned are for sentimental reasons, look where that got us with Lowes.
Brett Hodgson is doing great things in his attacking role with Widnes, although it maybe our defence that needs more work.

I'd agree that in an ideal world I'd be tempted to pick someone not previously connected with then club if they demonstrate the correct attributes. An up and coming Aussie assistant possibly, JD and BH are also good shouts but I doubt that's what we'll end up with. I think it might be Glenn, which I'll be ok with, I think he has the potential to be a good head coach, I'd prefer him over Matty Elliott. (Elliott is a Bulls hero of mine for delivering that 1997 title, but id rather try someone new.)
