| I would ask if it was wise to take a loan from RL at start of 2015 against 2016 funds in order to fund the 2015 squad in an attempt to guarantee SL for 2016. This will now result in less money for 2016 season and possible part time squad. Should not the club try to live within its means from season to season. Would also ask how much funding is been taken up by employing Ferris and Paul , surely one man can do both jobs. Final question is did he sanction Lee Smith signing with him becoming the highest paid player on the books

| I've asked...
[iThere is a growing number of supporters who are increasingly becoming concerned and frustrated at the petulant and stubborn behaviour displayed by our Head Coach James Lowes, particularly when speaking with the press. This added to a number of players departing mysteriously with many rumours of behind the scenes fall outs and favouritism towards players many fans perceive as not adding much value to the team, my question is… is this really the right man to lead the club back to Super League?[/i
Be interesting to see if any question marks over the way Lowes has coached this season will be addressed.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

Clearly Lowes is NOT the right man to lead us, like Corbyn is not the right man for Labour. However, there is not a flurry of better candidates out there.

| Unless we could tempt smith away from wakefield. To the best of my knowledge he has not yet signed a new contract.

It has long been my opinion that this season was do or die. I don't mean that literally as I'm sure the club can survive in the Championship but it certainly means the end of our Super League ambitions. It was a hell of a gamble to throw everything at it especially with Lowes in charge. I would ask Mr Green whether he thinks we have a hope in hell in 2016.

| I think top four is within our capabilities next year. However I would expect 3 or 4 and I think the gap between SL and Championship to be wider.

A tad pessimistic?
I can see a good argument why Leigh would finish top next season, but what reason would there be for us not to come home in 2nd as we did this season?
The only other full-time teams are either useless (London) or entirely unproven (Sheffield). I suppose there's Halifax, but we ought to be able to best them over the course of a season with our current squad.
I do agree about the gap between SL and Championship widening (unless Koukash takes his money and Salford implode, which is not beyond the realms...)

We haven't got a scrum half or backup. And not sure we will keep AOB or Gaskell or both. Gaskell may have said he will see his contract out but with a year to run he is a saleable asset and finances could force us to sell.

| If it is true we are after Lee Smith maybe we are looking at Mullaney at SH.
As far as Having a go at Robbie someone may put me right but I am fairly certain he is there purely as marketting director and has no say in team matters. The club does actually do very well with sponsorship and I would think he is easily paying for himself in a very important job.
I don't think Ferres and Robbies job could easily be integrated into one. For me it is Ferres who could feel unsafe as I think a good head coach and assistant should be in charge of all recruitment with the help of the chap (forgotten name) who runs the junior set up.
Ferres is probably there though more as a right hand man / adviser to Mr Green as Green is inexperienced.
If Ferres and Robbie wasn't there Green would have to depend on Jimmy and his calm and emotionless reasoning. How many people think that is the best solution.
Whatever happens in the background it all comes down to the basics of choosing the right group of players and coaching them properly. If that happens we could have Coco the clown working in the office.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| I always got the feeling that the RFL had been involved in Ferres appointment. One of those types of deals where Mark Green got the club but the RFL only gave their blessing once they put someone in that they could trust/influence.
I have a feeling it'll be years before we can shake off the strings that the RFL have attached to us.
The other matter of course is that a deal for the ground was supposedly nearing completion. I wonder if that'll be announced at the end of season ball.

It could also be thought that, maybe Marc wanted to get involved but realised he didn't really have enough knowledge to run a rugby club, so he went to a guy he knew who did? MG is a businessman first and foremost, so you'd expect him to do something like that.
