Seems to be standard practice last few years to give
One or two of best u19s a go in last game of season.

| Yeah, that's right, it is. Nothing to lose and much to be gained, imo.

| I know this is effectively dead rubber but it would be nice to see the side take the enthusiasm shown versus Leigh into this game. Once again without our main playmakers and I expect this will be an equally tough a test if not tougher. Halifax are pretty desperate to beat us so I fully expect a fired up performance from their team.
It'd be nice to enter the middle 8's on the back of two strong performances.

| I'm sure their [ifans[/i would be desperate to beat us but I'm not really certain whether, from an eights pov, the club itself would be [ithat[/i bothered.
They're secure in the top four and I'm sure they'll want to make a go of the eights so, if [iI[/i were them I'd be looking to maybe rest a couple of players rather than go all out to win a meaningless, no account, dead game like this. My biggest worry is that [iwe[/i come out of the game with injuries.

| We can still finish 3rd if London win so plenty to play for possibly, not sure which games the club would want at home but I'm sure they don't want to stop a winning run.
Should be a good game as long as the weather doesn't spoil it.

| Shame about the loss, but it doesn't really matter at this stage.

| All the effort from last week seemed lost on us today not good enough, but with first teamers back for 8s can only improve, Clare looks sound on the wing but not sure with blythe as his centre never seemed to bring him into the game, Henry and caro looked ok on the right but caro needs to keep behind started infront of Henry quite a bit today. And I'm sorry but chev should be no where near starting for the 8s far to many mistake from him today.
If the SL teams get Cobb they are in for a shock no flow again and when there was they would be pulled back as to me the game seemed to be going to fast for him he's diabolical and calls for both sides where verging on game spoiling

| So this means that going into the Middle 8's we have now lost to all of the other Championship clubs still left. How much more will these other teams be 'up for it' with the prize of promotion. Why do I get a dreaded feeling that JL and Ferret have gambled with the future of the club and lost. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

| Can blame ferres he has assembled a good squad with what was avaible, fax if they can keep the intensity can but some pressure on the other teams, hopefully we will be focused on the 8s and this game was taken lightly but they know we are vulnerable no getting away from that

| I think anybody that assembles a squad so short of half backs must take some of the blame. Didn't we have O'Brien from Warrington on a contract and then rip it up because we're nice guys. Think there's a saying about Nice Guys coming last.

Agreed, some of decisions left me bewildered but some others were spot on, too inconsistent. Poor today with the advantage rule.
But saying that I thought it was a cracking match with plenty of fire, but then I probably would think that.

| Very frustrating. First half we were woeful. We've clearly been concentrating on the middle 8's for a month now. Fax were always going to come out firing against us and we had no aggression or enthusiasm at all. Our ball rentention was amateurish.
Joe Cobb though.
He shouldn't be allowed to referee an under 10's game. Let's just say he picks his moments when to give penalties.
Feel we will be a different side come the middles with Gaskell, Mullaney, Ferguson and Sidlow back. But we need to improve our attitude significantly.
Thought Halafihi played well. Walker was awful and shouldn't get anywhere near the team for the 8's.

| It will be interesting to see how the ptb is policed in the middle 8s. 13 out of the total 28 games will see part time sides against full time / SL sides. So will it be the same as today, where there was clearly some lenience given to the speed of the ruck, or will the part time sides suddenly find themselves having to play to SL standards?
