Y'know, 25 a side, players running on and off every time the wind changes, a game set up to see how the juniors fare in open-age, to test out some moves, look over some different player combinations, give the players a bit of a hit-up etc. Coaches look for many things in these games but the final score is relevant to nothing.

We did beat Wigan in a pre-season friendly. Can argue about what that means (personally, I think it means little, we lost all our friendlies before last season), but can't say that we didn't beat Wigan in pre-season.
