Exactly - The dream opening game from the RFL perspective. Good job I hold the RFL in high regard and wouldn't think of accusing them of fixing the opening fixture for 2015.

It's weird, my mate is a director at Leigh, he kept telling me 1st game would be at home to Bradford Bulls !

Not too far to travel for me so I'm happy. We lose, we can blame it on lack of time to gel.

And the random computer selection process makes us wait until penultimate game to play Leigh again, could RFL be hoping this might be some sort of decider or is it just a coincidence? I think i know the answer

If it is - it's poor planning. We'll either be in the top 4 or not by then, the league resets after that and we'll likely be playing them again in a matter of weeks should all go to plan. It'll likely a dry run for the super 8s rather than anything mega meaningful

Ideal situation for mine. We'll probably lose this one, and can quite reasonably blame it on lack of time for the squad. And it gets by far the most difficult match of the season out of the way first up.

And if we do happen to pull off a win, then we get bragging rights on this forum

It's a long season, and nothing will be decided by what happens on the first week

Couldn't really pick two tougher away games to begin with, especially given the amount of new players we will have to mould into a team. I fully expected we would be away to Leigh though, we're the big draw in that league. We will bring the largest following and we'll be the team that everyone will be looking to beat. Let's hope the players are ready for the challenge and extra pressure on their shoulders.

Set up nicely from a league perspective. Leigh will beat the Bulls (trying to be realistic, the team will be too 'new' to perform at their best on the 1st day of the season) - Then all the pundits will be screaming about how close the championship is compared to the bottom end of SL, thus trying to raise the profile of the championship to other viewers.

YES!!! Over moon with this. Don't care if it's random or not. Start the season with a bang. Reckon 5k will be there at least!
