Not remotely.
I simply don't buy that there are hundreds of thousands of pounds floating about that are available to be appropriated in this way. I would be frankly amazed if he is not having to top up the monthly outgoings, especially given
*the severe lack of "Sky money" and
*the almost complete lack of matchday income (as he has honoured season tickets).
Where on earth do you suggest a surplus might possibly come from?
And even if there was, on what basis could Mr. Green pay £200K out of company funds to SGS, a totally unconnected business to whom we don't owe a penny?

| he can get his original 220k? amount that debenture was for as soon as we get relegated by taking the 250k parachute payment. Cant see how he can recover amount hes had to spend between taking over and end of season which must amount to 500k+ just in wages and ground rental. Only way I could see is some form of payment for surrendering long lease on odsal assuming we play at VP in championship butthat would require RFL to in turn surrender its lease back to council to allow alternative development of ground. Cant see how that would work TBH.

Maybe the extra £300k sky money that all clubs are getting this year, didn't the RFL hold it back until we had new owners in place? Plus our salary outgoings must be far less than last year. Maybe there is enough money to be sustainable at the moment?

Ooh, I remember SGS on the shirts - Peter Fox was the coach, Jackie Austin on the wing, big Jeff Grayshon at no. 8, Dennis Trotter in the second row and young half called Steve Ferres.....

Iirc they only held back the last 50k of it. Bulk of it was paid while green and co were in charge before we went into admin.

| There will still be sponsorship money coming in though. And some, if not much, from match day income. Plus we are still getting some sky money, although reduced. When OK had to supplement wages we were paying up to the cap. Now that player and backroom costs have been cut we might be sustainable. I'd say that was at least slightly plausable!

| I think 'paying up to the cap,' is exactly the same sort of euphemism that ISPs go in for when they say up 38Mb..
* On reflection, "euphemism" may not be the right word, perhaps disingenuous use of English might be more accurate.

we werent anywhere close to full cap spend under OK. He said full Cap was available but then only signed foster and a couple of others, whilst a lot of higher earners werent retained from previous years squad.

The 6 points would be irrelevant in that context. Wakey & Salford wouldn't be in the market. Fev wouldn't be buying SL players, arguably Leigh wouldn't be the force they are now nor put up the performance they did against Leeds. I don't buy the argument P&R apologists gave that it would automatically increase attendances, though it undoubtedly will if there are do or die games at the end of the season.'"
I thought by "interest" you meant actual increase in things like attendances, sponsorship and stuff like that.
If it's increased the no of posts on here, the number of signings made by clubs that can't afford them and the number of outraged letters to all and sundry then it must be a good thing.
I don't think a few games at the end will make up for the loss of crowds and sponsorship over the course of the whole season.

| I think the whole notion of Green "getting his £200K back" from Bulls income is so risible as to not be worth seriously discussing any more, we are pretty much as financially fscked as any club has ever been, with minimal Sky money, no season ticket money, only the back end dregs of any unpaid sponsorship money, and anyone who sees some conspiracy by Green to leech his company's debenture loss out of our meagre resources is I think delusional. And that's before even considering the seriousness of such an allegation anyway.
I will throw one more into the mix though. The RFL said that as OKB went bust, it forfeited ALL Sky money and had to pay back what it had already received. On that basis, as we were only supposed to be getting the remains of what they were getting, we aren't due any money at all.

Good point in terms of a quick return, given the fundamental profitability of us, along with most other clubs. But could some of the return be in charges from one business to another for director's time and expenses, for instance, then look to sell the club on to recoup some more of the cash. It was reported that Moore, Calvert & Watt were guests in Perpignan, I hoped they were helping to construct the force majeure case, but.......
If he didn't get involved he waved goodbye to the loan he gave, he has no emotional attachment to the club and the lack of action on moving out a well meaning, honourable, but ultimately under performing coach tells the story for me. Really hope I'm proved wrong

| Salford have a seemingly bottomless pit of cash and some other club(s) are rumoured to be spending next years cash gambling on staying up. I'd rather we went down and stayed full time in a sustainable manner than that.

| Here's a little 'problem' like we used to get set at school
If the Hood regime was losing £100k a month on full Sky money and the OK regime was losing £100k a month on 50% sky money, then what is Marc Green losing on 50% sky money and 6k crowds.
Answer; if Green isn't losing a minimum of 50k a month funding the train crash that is our dear club then his next trick should be turning water into wine. The Nazarene couldn't get £200k out of Odsal right now.

When a few more teams go bust it will generate few thousand more posts on here though.
