| The major asset in the first half was that we had the "class" Gale on the park for once. He controlled the first half with some very creative kicking, and two sublime passes creating tries, also one absolutely crucial tackle. Why he can't play up to something like this level more often is a shame. Obviously being behind a pack going forward for once made a difference.
We didn't do as many schoolboy howlers as usual, though we got away with a couple by the skin of our teeth, but you could feel the tension in the second half, all the more so when Wakey went in. But today, everybody was up for it and overall the tackling effort was very good.
Icing on the cake was hearing RAB mentioned as MoM sponsors.

| Great win. About time the players put in a performance. Thought Kafusi was immense today and Fergie when he came on. Gale played well, let's have that every week please.
To beat Wakefield home and away and yet still be six behind shows how wrong this points deduction is in this vital season. With respect to them, they are not a good side, neither are we, yet we beat them twice. Relegation should be decided on the pitch not by the RFL.
Let's see what this week brings.

| And on another note, could Scruton have been less interested in playing? Did he do anything at all? There was a player who did not want to be there. Good lad.

| I am sorry to say if we think we will stay in SL with that performance against an under strength Wakefield side we are deluded. The second half was poor no idea at times on what to do, just can't see us staying up.
I still think Cummings and LSH are just not getting the team playing and the results.

| I want to stay in SL but must add that the competition is very weak if either of those teams stay up. The gap between top and bottom is immense.

| Played some decent rugby in the first half when our forwards were very dominant. Pleasing to see us punch through a defence rather than being the team being forced backwards continually.
Still need to improve on that though to win enough matches to haul also up the table but we did what we needed to do today.
Agar is moaning about referee decisions as I type this. He didn't mention the knock on at the PTB in the lead up to their first score however...

Possibly. But we are looking to finish 12th.

| Good win. We need to step up another level and improve to beat better teams. The tactics of having one hooker went wrong and against a better side, we woul have been hurt. Pitts at hooker is almost laughable. Walker is a complete waste of a bench spot. He is a back rower, but with Donno, Pitts, Ferguson and Olbison ahead of him, it's pointless having him in the 17. Cummins even but him at prop for periods in that game!!!! Get O'brien for him next game to spell Diskin. With Kaufusi likely going I would bring Baldwinson in who is actually big enough to play prop. It will be Walker propping again though which is a shame.
Good win but definite improvements needed, as soon as Wakey improved that second half we struggled.

The gap between 11th and 10th is big enough. This season has been one of the worst I can remember.

About the only call we got all afternoon, but that wasn't the reason we lost. You had a good first half and managed to get some points on the board, second half we couldn't make the final passes stick.
Poor quality from both sides as expected though.

| Elliot Kear vs Richard Moore must be the most unusual square up I've ever seen. It actually injected some life into us in that 2nd half too.

Moore was lucky to get just yellow for that.
