| I reckon his agent has done some great work, not sure we were after him at all.
Still good news for your club.

| 1 - It is highly symbolic, surely? Shows Bulls can and are able to retain players, in the face of attack from outside and antics of scumbag vermin agents?
2 - The report in the T&A earlier included: " ...He is also in line to be handed the club captaincy if, as expected, Matt Diskin retires at the end of 2014." - so it would seem the head coach sees more in him than just another player re-signing? And so, again, this could be a highly-symbolic announcement?

| Agree with Adey, this is more than just a player agreeing a contract extension,if we had lost Carvell AND Gale 4 days before season starts it would be a major blow. The more I think about it the more I think this shows some real intent

| Two sensible posts from Adeybull and Roger. Gale is massive for the club and to have lost him so close to the season would have been a major blow. Doesn't say much for Hull though does it? Sure they look like they've managed to take a 32 year old prop by waving the money in front of him but they couldn't get the one they really wanted. Their half backs are rubbish and Radford knows this so to not get Gale shows they are not really a good proposition for quality players.

I'm not convinced we were after him, not seen any thing from the club, which is different from Carvell.
I haven't seen anything to suggest Gale is better than our current halfbacks, I rather have Miller, his stats show him as a better attacking player and that's in a lot less games.
Carvell is one we want and desperately need and look like get, maybe 32 but still one of the best props in the league.

| I see this as extremely good news, I think it will bring more stability to the team. It shows that they want to stay and the ones who maybe had second thoughts (for perfectly good reasons) have a little more reassurance.
We can't really miss Carvell because we never really had him. So just get rid and find another couple of props fast, even if it means getting lesser known French or a fringe NRL player.

Quote: Dave.K "When Bradford’s issues surfaced we made a play for Luke and were told categorically he was not for sale.
I don’t know if anything has changed but we have a salary cap. I don’t know his salary but he’s a quality player so I imagine it’s a hefty one.
There are rules and regulations in place and, once the RFL decide what they are doing and the Bulls decide what they are doing, we won’t be the only club interested in one or two of their players if they become available".'"
Quote: Dave.K "Hull are eager to land the half-back, who has now been offered an improved contract by Bradford in an effort to tie his future to the Bulls.
Gale is yet to decide his future, but while not denying an interest, Radford says salary cap pressures mean Hull won't be making any further additions to the squad right now.'"
And in other breaking news shock, fans of club likely to succeed in signing one player big him up, but diss the other guy that it looks like they will not get...

| I think this is also encouraging news for the creditors. The contract extensions for players in demand and in their prime are usually enhanced. Only a morally bankrupt bod would - days after this quickie administration - be planning to sell creditors short while giving players even more money. This bod must be planning to pay 100% to the creditors

A post that should prove to some Bulls fans that not every supporter of every rival team has a blind hatred of the Bulls.
So thanks to pie warrior for giving much needed support-- but I double dare you to post something similar on the Wildcat board !!

| Can't say I'm thrilled with this news. His performances have been scratchy to say the least. We've obviously reacted to hulls apparent interest and his agent seems to have got him an improved deal.
Franny seems to be wanting to build the team around him and making him captain makes him pretty indeapensible. His performances haven't warranted this at all.
I really hope we haven't payed over the odds for him!
Time to step up Mr Gale.
