Played all three positions last year for the jets but scored most tries (usually one a game at the backend of the season) at centre or wing. Defensive capabilities not known. Utility, footwork and good offload fits the FC profile. Adds to the depth of the backs in the squad so it will still be competitive when we get injuries rather than a shoe-in of the only player left standing. Approval therefore in principle, subject to performance on the field.

What's the situation with overseas players.Are we still allowed another foreigner under the non fed rule(which I don't understand to be honest, so clarification from somebody would be good).Is the quota one more this season and have we already filled that with Sammuts exemption last couple of years

One of them is Winterstein Roger, i think they are waiting for the RFL takeover ratification before any announcements.

The other is another agreement with Warrington for Ben Evans, and apparently we have a deal with Hudds for some sort of loan arrangement.

Meh, not as good as Lulia, but I suppose we were lucky to have had him, Lulia had played a fair bit of 1st grade whereas this lad hasn’t. I’ll reserve judgement till I’ve seen him in action but he looks like a typical Kopak Stiff/Bartercard Reject of yesteryear, sort of a Willie Isa/Patrick Ah Van quality. I can’t wait to be proved wrong.

Leave paddy alone! I don't think he did much wrong for us, and he will always score you his quota of tries. Plus he fulfilled our "big hair" quota for a while.

I don't think Ah Van was that bad. His finishing was excellent. However his defence and fitness were not so excellent.

Can I remind everyone of the times Ah Van pelted out of the defence to miss his opponent and leave a huge gap behind. Lulia was a thousand times better. Ah Van, while not quite in the Nick Zisti class of Bulls ex players was the sort of player that you get in a team that won’t make the 8.

Ah Van was never a centre for me. He didn't have the ball playing skill or defensive awareness. He is a winger.

I completely went off Ah Van when watching the game where he knocked on 2 or three times from the base of the scrum. He had this 'lazy' persona when playing a game, and yes Bullseye, he was criminal at trying to put a big shot on, and always missing!

Edit: And his kicking was terrible!

Think that was the Saints at home match. Every time we went down his side he knocked on. He was at centre in that match IIRC.

Reminds me a bit of Karl Pryce on that clip. probably just fact hes a big outside back. hopefully a bit more motivated though

Looks a decent prospect, we hadnt really heard to much of Lulia before he came and purtell so lets hold our breath until we at least see him in action.
