| Quote: isaac1 "I get paid on the 26th of each month. When the 26th falls on a day when the banks cant open (Sat/Sun/Bank Hol) I get paid on the nearest day before that, usually a Friday. The Bulls players that have dared to tweet directly or indirectly on this give the impression that this was normally the case. They are not happy!
Robbie is the new face of the Bulls. It is an astute appointment by OK and Gerry as too many people on here simply will not question him!
If the payroll issue is one that is an admin error, why didn't Omar give the lads who are short a cash advance? the Robbie tweet about the pay being at the end of the month stinks of someone covering up, as do subsequent tweets from Bateman who has obviously had a call/PM from the club and been told to tow the line!
I hope for everyone's sake that this is an error in admin, and that come Monday we are wondering what the fuss is about!'"
The players used to get paid on the last Friday of every month.

| Robbie's tweet makes it sound like the delay was intentional, in which case the players should absolutely have been informed prior to it happening.
But then Bateman and others have now said it was a clerical error, which would explain why the players weren't told but then contradicts Robbie's comments.
That being said, I don't think venting your frustration on twitter is the most professional thing to do. It seems to only be the younger players so far who are having a moan, perhaps the tact and professionalism will come with age.
Elliott getting involved was cringeworthy, the kid needs to wind his neck in.

| The Stuff about bank payments due is arrsewash, anyone paid on eg last Friday of month MUST arrange their affairs to cater for those occasions when inevitably the payment will go out on 31st. Anyone with a brain who is paid at month end won't have DDs going out till 1st week of month. Whatever beef they may have, DDs not going out is certainly not one of them

| I'm surprised at Robbie "taking to Twitter" to talk about this in a public space. No one should be discussing such matters through social media. If ex-players at other clubs want to cause a stink let them but I'd be guarding against any existing players getting involved. This is the problem with the Twitter generation - absolutely no brain engagement. No one would enter into such a discussion on the radio or TV for example. In fact I'd be saying if you want to play for Bradford you don't have a Twitter account, simple as. It's completely divisive.

| Let's be honest here. Both Bateman and whitehead have the combined I.Q of a subway foot long . As players awesome . As people to read and take there opinions on twitter is just foolish . You get more intelligent information from a passing seagull squawking.

| Whitehead has an axe to grind and is a grub the club are probably glad they got rid of. Bateman is easily led and as someone else has stated is not exactly a 100 watt bulb.

| This is a brain fart on behalf of Bateman,
the players get paid on the last day of the month ie. 30th June, 31st July
so they will recieve their wages on wednesday as its the 31st,
But in June as the 30th was a sunday they were paid on the 28th, this is were the date of the 28th mentioned by Bateman has come from,
Like said he seems to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic !!

Can understand why a poster is saying remind the players of their responsibility in other words keep it all hush hush and brush it under the carpet.
Wonder if this is why you pushing for some more money from the Giants? Lots of questions hanging over the Bulls me thinks.'"
Well, if I had a problem with my wages, my first response would not be put it on Twitter. I'd contact the wages dept at the company I work at to discuss the problem. So maybe the Bulls players that threw their toys out the pram in a public forum should have tried thinking before they acted.
Oh, and it still doesn't change the fact that both Huddersfield and Kopczak lied and your attempts at deflecting attention away from those liars is very poor.

| Not deflecting owt, it appears the bulls are the only team that does everything by the book an have never told a lie since the beginning of their existence.
What annoys me is your club/players are always blameless which is laughable, a poster blames Whitehead when clearly Bateman put it on twitter first to bring it to everyone's attention.
Koppy walked out of a club obviously unable to pay its players and honour their contracts anymore, IMO the Bulls should not have a leg to stand on, the club that he was employed by died along with debts from what I'm led to beleive.
If I am wrong on that please correct me an confirm that not one person was out of pocket from the club folding and restarting (you don't need to include fans of other clubs or the clubs themselves that helped you out with handouts).
If I am correct then I feel that Huddersfield Giants should not a payed you a penny for Kopczak and the £20k should have gone towards monies owed as Kopczak was an asset of the old club.
Can't see how the new club should be allowed to cream off all the profits but wring its hands of the debts or am I missing something?

Tbf I agree with some of what you're saying, but that still doesn't address the issue that both Kopzcak and Hudds lied to the RFL? Even if you don't believe we should be entitled to anything, do you not agree that the RFL should investigate this, with Thewlis and Kopzcak bringing the game into disrepute?

I understand that it may be a while before you calm yourself down enough to post, and maybe your keyboard will need to be dried out of spittle, but have you ever considered anger management classes?

There are so many things wrong with what you've put, that I don't know where to start correcting you. In terms of Bulls players not getting paid, from this recent one it's the players not grasping the date they get paid. As for last year, the players were paid their full wages for the whole year.
Yes, there may have been people out of pocket when the old Bulls holding company went out of business. But I'm sure if you check there were plenty of people out of pocket when Huddersfield absorbed Sheffield Eagles, so your club is hardly whiter than white in this area so I wouldn't go throwing stones around if i were you.
In terms of Kopczak being an asset to the old club, that's hardly the point given that his contract was transferred to the new holding company which means he became an asset for the new club. But at least you're not trying to deny that he'd agreed to move BEFORE then, even though the rest of SL, including Huddersfield, had agreed not to attempt to sign any Bradford player until AFTER the situation at Bradford was resolved and the player and his new club LIED about this to both Bradford and the RFL in order to try and avoid having to make any payments for a player who WAS under contract and was approached before the anti-tamper deadline.
