| There were mistakes and a lack of direction at times but the fight was there and that's what I want to see.
Manny MOM definitely. On the field for about 60 minutes and still up for it at the end.

| Yep, that's what I was talking about on ME's ridiculous thread. Those lads is who I go to support, and tonight, they repaid me handsomely.
It was one of those nights when you just had to be there. Just watched the replay on Sky and Eddie was right, it harked back to the good old days.
Special mention to the crowd, very vocal in getting behind the team when they needed a lift. And what ultimately won it for us, apart from the sheer electricity that Sammut alone can provide, was that magnificent goal line defence in the back to back sets. Awesome. Just awesome.

| All the above.
Brilliant effort from the lads after a run of defeats. Sammut is different class.

| I hope Ben Evans gets the credit he deserved, nothing flash but did a heap of work in the middle.
You would think that playing prop at just 20yo he should develop into a really good forward.

| Great performance by most. When Jarrod and Stranger came on it was like watching a different team. Disco is either past it, carrying a knock or too old. Yes he scored, but apart from that he was bobbings

| Great to see a win and how important it was to the players, shame about the knocks to Bateman and Olbison hopefuly the two week rest is long enough to sort them out. Fantastic team spirit roll on the next match.

That was the first match that I really thought Ben Evans showed that he could be a very good forward. Previously he's done bits and pieces but yesterday he was consistently good. Thought Scruton showed up really well again and the hit on O'Meley was a joy to watch.

| Wonderful show from the pack. We've had times when we've defended as well but not for such sustained periods as we did last night - so much for the rubbish about the owners, coaching staff and players being in some kind of civil war, yeah it [ireally[/i stood out last night...

| When Sammut and L'Estrange came on the game changed. L'Estrange's pace from dummy-half and Sammut's flair helped us get the upper hand. Sammut's step and fend for Diskin's try was superb.
Also, mentions to Gale, whose kicking game was top class, and Manuokafoa and Scruton, who both stood up the Hull pack, defended well, and made good meters.

I thought that was one of the big differences to recent games (home vs Widnes especially) that the game management was much improved. We frequently ended our sets with a good kick and Hull starting near their own line.

| Another real gutsy effort but this time we managed to hold on and finish the game strongly. I admit I was a little nervous after we spilled possession twice on their line at crucial times but thankfully it wasn't costly. The two 40/20's were real game turners for me and really took the game away from Hull. Forwards were magnificent and gave the likes of Sammut and Gale some space to create.
Given ourselves an outside chance of the play offs but still a huge ask to win probably 4 out of 5 but anything is possible. No more injuries though please!

If other results go our way, we can lose against Catalans and Hudds and still make it.

I think Catalan are beatable at the moment, particularly at Odsal. I'm more worried about whether we can go to Wakefield and Castleford and win. Those away games are often very tough places to get a result.

I get your point, but surely it's a given that we do our bit, if we were unable, then we'd neither make the 8, nor deserve to. We should rather be relishing those tough and critical games, that really mean something. And I'm sure we are. So I'm not worried whatsoever, I'm looking forward to them greatly. It's not quite z cup final, but the anticipation and the butterflies are similar. Crucial, hard, tense games is what it's all about.
