There was plenty of criticism about certain issues on other threads. I started this to try and put a different perspective on things. The online shop IS lacking. Just a shame for you that I dealt with the shop on the telephone and found the service to be excellent.
I doubt it is the fault of Chris what stock the shop has but it seems to me that he is keen to offer the best service possible using the tools at his disposal.

I went up there yesterday and staff were friendly and helpful. Just making sure you try it on before buying though because I picked up a shirt with one arm longer than the other to start with! It might fit somebody in our fan base I guess, unless it was from the Giants template? Who knows.'"
Thanks BB.
I read that they were a smaller make than Kooga so I ordered a bigger one than last years medium shirt that was fine.
That said, I need to go on a diet anyway so if it IS a bit tight then it is more of an incentive to lose some beef!

As I said above, I can't comment on the smaller sizes but the XL shirts aren't comparable.

To be honest there isn't a great deal in there other than a small selection of t shirts and the actual replica shirts. I assume we might see some coats/hoodies later in the season.

You must have shrunk'"

Laid ISC 3XL on top of Kooga XL; Kooga about 2 ins longer, 1 in wider, sleeves 2 ins longer. So I have a new shirt allegedly 2 sizes bigger but its actually smaller. You MUST try them on before buying.
As regards shop and Website, please lets remember that we almost lost the Club, that we were obviously late in setting up contracts for website and kit replica. Our credit was ZERO. We have a team playing each week ,which is surely the first priority. I cannot imagine that our new owners are deliberately holding back other improvements. We have less to spend than other Clubs and I trust them to optimise our resources as they think best.

No one 'up there' connected with the shop 'kept their jobs'. Chris, who is running the shop is doing an excellent job.

| For what it's worth I found the new home shirt, size L to be a bit on the tight side and, in general, large [ialways[/i fits me. I would say it is of very similar quality to the later Kooga shirts.
Comparisons with Kooga are a bit dubious though, for a start, the Kooga stuff changed quite dramatically part way through the contract, with the shirts from the first couple of years being of far better quality [stronger cloth, better stitched] and more 'generously' sized, than the ones from the last couple of years. Also comparing sizes between a new shirt and one which has had several washes [and might have shrunk or washed bigger] is just not going to give a fair comparison.

The last decent quality shirt I bought was the Jamie Langley testimonial shirt. The design wasn't everyone's cup of tea but it was well made and had some nice embroidery on it. I quite like the heavier shirt with embroidered badges but perhaps I'm in the minority because the newer shirts are mainly printed.
The last couple of Kooga shirts were really poor quality IMO but this seasons are a step back in the right direction.

I took an XL in Kooga and in normal shirts I vary from XL to XXL. Whether the smaller shirts are on a par I cannot comment but the larger sizes are definitely smaller and the sleeves are a tighter fit and higher up the arm.'"
I got a home shirt bought as a present with my name on the back in XL the size i usually wear (cant take back). Gonna have to by an XXXL in the away kit doing nothing for my self esteem.

Was it a present from the missus?

| Just been up to get away shirts. The sizes seem ok to be honest. Got a large. I could have got a medium and in previous years I have had either a large or medium.
And by the way, the man in the shop was superb. Friendly, cheerful and super service.

Agree with most of that, though I certainly wouldn't say the current one was better made than last years, very similar imo.
People do conflate the design side with the build and cloth quality when they are really two separate issues. I don't have any issues with design, in general. Provided it's not so totally outlandish that it can't be worn in the pub, then I'm pretty easy to please with rugby shirts.
I'm not totally bothered about the cheaper made, printed ones, to be honest - as long as they last the season out without falling to bits then it's ok, to be honest. A few of the real top quality early Kooga stuff will never wear out, but they pretty much only really get worn for one season anyway these days, so the club may just as well make a bit more on them -that's the whole point of them anyway.

Send the forum police around immediately!
I dont make transactions direct with the club shop. I buy direct from the manufacturers. Its cheaper and you get a better quality product.
Cheers

I would advise someone undertake some training on how to stock an online shop and present products to market - lost revenue for a company which has already gone t1ts up, cant be good.
Hate to be the one to state the obvious and all - but its a missed financial opportunity that a punter cannot order something of the correct size online.
