| 1. Why was Addy sin binned? - repeat infringements addy was just unlucky to be the next one
2. Why was thesecond Cas player binned? - same as above
3. Why was a penalty given against Whitehead in firsthalfabout10metates from Cas line? It looked likeHeth went over to ask and was told to go away. - interference heath went ove to try and slow the orb down I believe but ganson told him to get stuffed
4. What does thearm waved round in a circlesignal mean? - same as what everyone else has said
Also we got away with a lot of ball steals 3 I can remember ino cas got away with a forward pass, but at least ganson was consistant

Disagree. It was the same width but noticeably shorter vertically. The old ones were pretty square but this was almost wide screen format. Pretty poor imo as the scoreline at the bottom covered so much of the play as to make it pointless for some of the replays.

| One decision which baffled me was the disallowed try near the end which ended with a penalty to Cas.
Fair enough, the Bulls' player playing the ball went into and obstructed the Cas defender so the no try decision was correct, but two defenders, one either side of the ptb, were clearly standing with both feet in front of a line they should have had both feet behind, in fact almost in line with the acting halves, so were clearly off-side.
That was the first offence (as they were off-side before before our player obstructed the acting half) so surely the decision should have been - No try, penalty to the Bulls?

1. Yes, and a mile offside, it was nuts to take the risk, almost like he was tacking the mick.
2. Wasn't the second one binned for the blatant professional foul, that saved another great try? Spot on to sin bin that cheating get.
Every team "gets away" with plenty, it's the old argument, the ref can't penalise verything and if he did he would ruin th game. People were already whingeing around me in the last 15m of the 1st half that Ganson was "taking over the game" but how can people then come on here and whinge that there were, in effect, loads and loads of penalties that he failed to give??
I thought the officials had a reasonable game, and Ganson was good. He wasn't really given much choice in the team warnings and sin binnings, blame Bulls and blame Cas for playing dumb. Eg Lulia doing the "pull the leg" trick, as if the ref won't see it.
The forward pass was the worst decision of the night, don't know how the touchies especially missed that, but nobody's perfect and one howler in 80 minutes isn't bad.

| Can't see what he did to deserve that? Unless he did not follow Rot Hall team orders in some way...?
Surely can't be Rot Hall feel fools because Mr. Ganson did not act against Scruton, Sky muppetry go apoplectic (their normal state anyway...) Rot Hall act instead, Rot Hall get egg on face when shown that Ganson was broadly right albeit maybe missed awarding a penalty (he made up for that in the next few minutes against us...) and Rot Hall look for someone to blame? No, that can't be how it is. Can it?
After some of the debacles we have seen from certain other officials, I can't see the justification for demoting him this week?

| Well it was nothing to do with Scruton, as ultimately the lack of penalty wasn't Ganson's decision.

Only if they think he should have picked it up at the time (harsh). I'm all for letting unclear incidents flow & reviewing it during the week. I belive in Aussie rules they don't send anyone off & review all the following week.

| Thought Silverwood would have been dropped as he had a shocker at the weekend. Although its slightly harsh on Ganson been dropped, it sends a message that the refs need to be on top of their game which is a good thing

| Not sure I think he was as blameless as some believe.
He does take the 'I'm in charge' bit to extremes and there were times when, imo, he seemed to giving, 'That'll show you who's boss', penalties when despite the overall count being fairly even, he seemed to give both sides runs of 'lifts' upfield. Particularly at the end where his penalties made the score a bit of a blow out, which the game never ever was.
Maybe I'm wrong, (it won't be the first time) but there must some reason why he's been dropped.

| There are 9 full time refs for 7 games each week so I suppose there is a rotation.
Maybe just Ganson's turn to drop down this week.
Perhaps nothing sinister

| Regarding Addy's sin bin, am I the only one who thought they got the wrong player?
He went in the bin as the team were on a warning. Addy was judged to be offside. Which fair enough, he was, but he didn't get involved in the tackle, so shouldn't have been penalised. I think it was Whitehead who was offside and involved, and therefore Smell should have been the one going to the bin.

I think that's true. I was surprised it was Addy who was binned.
