The turnip is doing a pretty good job of shooting HIMSELF on a pretty regular basis now.

Poor old Bryn, one player retires and we have a feeding frenzy re the game in a mess. He will have been very well paid, 50 or 60 thousand plus bonus at a guess, pretty easy working week, lots of hols etc. RL players have never had it so good.
If RL players want to be treated better then they should get rid of their agents, the moment an agent sits down with a club it becomes about negotiating a deal ie the player becomes a commodity, if they dont like this then get rid of the agent.
Oh dear poor lad was upset because someone did not turn up for a meeting. Worse things happen at sea. All sounds a bit weak to me.

Not sure if he was off contract anyway , but it sounds pretty lame to me , plenty of good folk were made jobless thru this debacle and lots will probably still be out of work . Im sure he has been paid what hes owed while plenty havent, so spare us the woe is me routine Bryn ,must be nice to be able to afford to retire aged 26 .

The meeting referred to was the one the administrator undertook to have with the players promptly after he had sacked all the coaching staff, without warning.

He never turned up. Nor, I think, did he ever.

All the players were absolutely livid, and obviously very concerned. Who would not have been?

He is not retiring. He is taking up a new career, post-RL.

Because he recognises what a short career RL is, and wants to try and secure a future career after retiring from the game.
