I did wonder if that might be the case - glad I left them on the card now..

| What I think the club need to do is include a target number for the pricing structure, like the Pledges but without the sliding scale; "we're charging £x on a projection of y-thousand fans buying a season ticket", but not with the downsides of the Pledge, that was a risk not worth returning to. But with the goodwill and hardwork from last season, outlining basics of their pricing structure will help once again. Simply announcing the cost might put some off, but if it includes another season ticket sales target for fans to hit, it helps engage the fans once more. And yes, preferrably an option to spread the cost might also help.

| I think a cost spreading option is essential to be honest, along with family tickets, plus some other schemes which have been mentioned earlier, and done before in fact, like options for fewer games. Linking in a shirt, say a tenner off if you buy a ticket, would also be an incentive and with the profit on shirts it must be worth it.

If they could give a decent early bird discount and combine it with a spread payment plan ( say direct debit over 3-4 months) then it would help both supporters and give club a steady income over the off season to help cashflow.

I'd guess the 'early bird' price was normally close to, or at, the economic rate to be honest, after all I suppose the majority of tickets are sold at that price and not many after at 'full price' - excluding any 4/5/6/ match deals which might be made, of course. So they can set then set the 'full price' a bit above that and it let's us feel like we've got a bargain, so a good marketing ploy all round!

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, that's not strictly true as the only place you can spend your points is at the club. So really, unless you've spent enough on your team card to cover the full cost of a season ticket, the club will still be getting some cash out of you.
And if you HAVE spent that much on your team card, then that's even better for the club.

I think the added benefit for all your supporters to get behind the team and club is the probationary license for SL, get behind the team thick and thin and give the RFL SL etc a decision thats easy to make in the future.
Its a new dawn and other clubs appear to be struggling financially the point has got to be to ensure the outgoing cash is at most the same as incoming. Good luck hope the prices dont keep many away.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

The added benefit is still having a team to watch , and not ending up back here again in 6 months time

Be interesting to see how new owners handle the long-term tickets. Don't think they have any legal obligation to honour them. Think best those of you who have them can hope for is some concession going forwards. Can't see new owners honouring the full term of the deals.

Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!: |

| Perhaps a flexi card like at City. Pay £50, then get in for a tenner at any games you want to watch. That means if you watch 5 games youre paying £20 a match, but if you go to 10 out of the 13 games youre paying only £15.
It all depends on matchday pricing and balancing the books.
If we are honest, a matchday standing ticket cost of £18 is about right, with a seat being £22 - £25 depending on the block
that would mean:
13 x 18 = £234
13 x 22 = £286
13 x 25 = £325
if people buy game by game.
what is a suitable discount for paying up front? three free games?
so a ground season ticket at - £180
outer blocks of stand - £220
centre blocks - £250
how many would we sell?
how can it be incentivised?

Cannot argue with the maths - seems pretty fair. What I would like to see though is a family ticket giving deep discounts for the kids to encourage family groups.
Realistically given everything we have been through and the players we have lost I cannot see us being as competitive next year so I am looking at the 2013 season ticket more as an investment for the future of the club.
