| If Bulls fans boycotted the game empty seats would necessarily stand out at Huddersfield as being out of the ordinary?
If true a very dissappointing move

| Why boycott the game as this would be punishing our players in a way not being there to give our support to them.
Why don't we try turn up in our usual numbers, pay in on the gate but not purchase one item from the concession stalls inside the ground. We could all maybe refrain from entering the stadium until close to kick off time, this may cause panic for the stadium operators.
You may also wish to park at a location different to the stadium operators.
Can tickets be purchsed in advance from Huddersfield Giants? Yes we won't get the commision but it will ensure we pay the prepaid price rather than gate entry fee.

| Why not?
Whenever I see a game at the Galpharm on Sky it looks like the Huddersfield fans have boycotted the game
(If that doesn't bring in the Huddersfield fans onto this thread.... )

| Nope, turn up in numbers, sing like we did at wigan. Feck em. If we're going to go out of the league we should go screaming and kicking, not quietly into the night.
Support the lads and try to get into the end of season playoff party dispite the points deduction.

I wonder how supportive he has been of our situation?'"
I would bet good money he has been as respectful of the Bulls as Caisley and Hood have been of the Giants.

| Quote: domthebull "look at the topic about the programme notes against widnes, if they are doing underhand things like this like not sending tickets so we can have a 10% cut and are one of the sides hoping to profit from our non existence by taking both fans and players I am not sure i want to share my hard earned cash with MR Davey...
The boycott was suggested by another fan.
Not 100 % convinced as I hate missing games but I would have to book an annual leave day as well as pay the money in and im thinking I may choose to sit it out. I have missed probably 4 games in four years including home, away and friendlies, have been to france each of those years and am already booked for this years trip, have trekked to wales, scotland and london so I dont miss for no reason but this could have a few points..
1. points out to super league we will not just be bullied.
2. last years corresponding fixture was 9,466, yesterday for a game against one of the big sides recorded as 5,822 around 3000 fans would be a big stand (aware not all would follow boycott). say 2000 away fans at £20
Here is the second 'bite' numbnuts.
The away fans from the bulls has been nearer 1200 over the last couple of years (which is something the giants would love to be able to take to games) and the average £ per ticket will be closer to £10/11 taking into account concessions and free for u12s. But 12K is still a tidy sum.
Was told the Giants were holding onto tickets pending the RFL takeover at the request of the RFL. There is no reason the giants would not send advanced purchase tickets. But i suppose a nasty Ken Davy thread is what some posters need atm.

| problem is cripes and you well know this - it is only past three years where they have really been interested in youth.
Eorl crabtree is a testament to hard work but he was quite big and very raw in his early career - took a long time to get to where he is now.

| Tbf, the emergence of a Bradford Davy would cause jubilation on these boards right now. I wish a RL club could be sustainable at Odsal through people power alone but it would appear that is very much a dream for the foreseeable.

| well this is one of problems with their not been transparency with supposed teams wanting us out - i suspect giants are one of teams against would make sense a few fans of ours live closer to giants and with the pool of youngsters close enough to choose from hudds would not have to fight as hard as most youngsters would still sign for a super league club over a championship club.
really the support from most fans would appear to be other fans want us to stay - comments on boards and other fans talked to outside of grounds etc - why not let the fans of each club vote to decide rather than chairmen whom could hold grudges?

The giants have been interested in developing players for much longer. There are several good sl players who came through the giants. No where near as many as from the better established clubs. Recently they are getting better at player development.
Posters claiming we do stuff all in development are ignorant.

| I agree that you do more than some people think but it has not always been their first priority. Like you say they are taking a bigger interest .... it is just when players are poached on bigger contracts from your own academy that it does get people thinking that you only poach not develop.
The likes of patrick who we had written off you have developed well but the likes of wardle - who i think would have played a lot more games for us had he stayed, to claim he has done better with you is shocking as i watched him play 6 in academy and centre for 1st team and im thinking he has played centre, wing and back row for you which shows he has been moved around and maybe found a better position rather than been out and out developed.
