Shame, would be good to reassure him that outcry was against the treatment of potter. Not that I dont believe someone is playing games, but doesn't mean he is party to them.

| must be a way we can reach him nothing but respect for Noble, he seems to do a decent job where ever he goes, would love him back after what has happended to potter.
And if he is willing to work for free until the end of the season shows he has some passion for the club

Spot on imo.
Maybe it was his involvement with the CC's 'review' which suggested he is 'in cahoots' but if Brian says not, then I accept it and yes, it is reaction at the way Mick (and all the others) have been treated which leaves a bad taste. Though like you I think it's more than probable that someone[i is[/i 'playing games'.

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "I believe Noble to be an honourable man, and he is Bradford to the core, and a legend to boot. He is also a friend of Mick Potter.
If he says he was asked, and agreed, on Monday only after the sackings, then I believe him.
Given that Potter has gone and we have a team and no coach, Nobby volunteering his services is a gesture I would expect from him. He did not sack Potter and him not agreeing to help out will do nothing whatsoever for Potter (with whom I have every sympathy). Nobby cites the vitriolic reaction he has faced since the news came out as what is making him reconsider. What do these sort of people want? A team running on the pitch with absolutely no coaching staff of any sort? How is that fair on the players, who they presumably expect to perform despite the sackings?
I would urge Nobby to think again, those spewing the vitriol are surely a tiny minority, I believe he would be applauded to the rafters if he took the decision to step into the breach.
Fans should not forget that Potter was asked if he would stay in the role for no pay, and he (very understandably) refused. Nobody should criticise Nobby for agreeing to do what Mick Potter didn't feel able to do. Coaching for nothing is hardly a great job offer and it was a hateful dilemma for him to be placed in, but one thing is sure - it is in no way Nobby's fault that Potter refused, and he shouldn't be blamed for it. If Potter had said yes then Nobby would not have been asked.'"
This is the most measured and sensible posting I have seen on here for some considerable time. I applaud it with all my heart

| Unfortunately it appears that some of the vitriol Nobby refers to may be comments coming from some of the younger and more vocal players.
Mick Potter also openly criticised Nobby for contacting Franny Cummins before he'd barely left the car park.
So whilst there are undoubted numptys on other social media sites throwing mud in his direction I suspect Nobby is big enough, and cares about the club enough not to give a flying f*** about such comments. BUT he would care what fellow professionals think of him.

| Noble says he was only asked on monday after potter had already gone... i believe Noble on that!
I feel for Potter, he looked heart broken and he would surely have been first choice for us if we could have kept the same situation but we couldnt and I, and i suspect most fans, would welcome Noble with open arms!
Importantly, we need to get as many as we can down to Odsal on Sunday if the game is on... you dont have to go and support the board but if you think about the players and that performance on Friday against Wigan that is all the reason i need to go support the players again and again... they like us are victims too

| I belived potter was the man who would bring trophys back to odsal and it's sad that he's had to go.
Nobby is and always will be a legend, one of my heroes!

| Maybe temporarily we need a Noble.
If a takeover is completed and Potter isn't reinstated, then all hell should break loose IMO.

| The general consensus seems to be that Brian is wanted.
If anyone can contact him please let him know he will have the support of all the true fans?
