| No Bullettes, do we have to pay for them?. Announcements did my head in, do we normally pay for that?
Car park(field) shut at back of Coral Stand, surely not rented? I know times are hard but after all we've done over the last week or so, this was p**s poor.

| I think we probably did our best to make the costs as low as possible, that way more money goes to Doncaster once it comes to sharing the remainder out.
I guess opening that car park would have cost more for the additional man power/security etc so that's probably why it wasn't used, plus the fact that it wouldn't really have had that many cars in it!

| Yes you're probably right, but the guys who normally man that car park were deployed elsewhere
i.e. my son, so don't think they saved much money, because how would they know what the attendance would be?

| < some of the moaners on this thread, can't believe it really. Well, I can. Many folk just thrive on finding fault.
The crowd was just what you'd expect it to have been, if not even a bit bigger, as the Dons brought many more supporters than I'd been expecting. A couple of years back we pulled not much over 5,000 for a quarter final against Hull and so how on earth can you expect more for a walkover (no disrespect intended, I think everyone knew the likely score before today) against a division 3 team?
The game was entertaining, played in good spirit, and the noisy Doncaster fans added much to it. Loved the chant of "Easy, easy" when they forced a drop out in the second half. i enjoyed it and I'm sure most in attendance thought they got VFM.
The club very obviously cut down on expenses and I didn't see anything wrong with that. I was also disappointed that David Bowie and Pjnk Floyd weren't booked but hey, you can't have everything. It was a low key fixture and I sometimes wonder which planet some folk are on.

Shocking. Dwarfed by the 4,198 at Wigan.

| YOU REALLY CANT WIN... Well done Bulls for doing what you did yesterday. I know people around me were moaning about not hearing scorers and sub changes, however surely we all know our players by now dont we. I would like to give Bulls a proper big up for not booking that bloke steve bailey to announce anything either because what he knows about our club and players most of us have forgotten and i can see he didnt give up his time to do it for nothing, the cheerleaders have done well above thier duties for the last few weeks so why not have a day off. Finally most of the entertaintment before the game is dross anyway, however I cant see why an up and coming band or singer wasnt invited to play there free of charge to showcase thier talents. But overall well done bulls for saving some money especially when 50% of gate receipts has to go to opposing team.

I understand the Bullette get £50 each per game. There are around 10 of them 10 x 50 = £500. If you had just pledged £400 fo a family of four would you be happy with any of it going to pay the bullettes for an early round challenge cup game. I for one would not.

| It was ace like being back in the late 80's/early 90's. We even got a bit of snow while the sun was shining - it felt about 5 degrees colder in the bowl than it did at ground level as it should do.

The missus said the same, (all be it through chattering teeth), and proper banter with the Donny faithful too

I didn't realise those Tannoys still worked. Stick with them I say it reminded me of being in a foreign airport on an 80's package holiday when you haven't got a clue what the announcements are.

| It almost felt as if the reason we go to Odsal is to watch rugby league. That can't be right.
