| I believe it is on condition that Bulls suddenly have an injury crisis and field the reserves.

Already there mate, down to last 17 players as it is. And we will almost certainly pick up at least 1 injury/ban v Leeds. That's how its been going this season!

| As of today, we have 18 fit or half-fit players, apparently.
The board feel SoC's gestures have been little short of wonderful. I can but agree.

If you did, they'd probably have spent forty years watching the nearest big soccer club rather than their home town rugby league as it struggles through crisis after crisis. That's exactly what Steve O'Connor did. Give him his due, once he realised he lived in a town with a rugby league club and there was an opportunity to promote his business, he did step in. But like many other Widnes people who would rather troop off to Anfield, Goodison or Old Trafford instead of Naughton Park, he was, for a long time, part of the problem.

| Doc holliday wat tosh u talk. Firstly the oconner haulage comany had sponserd widnes for many many years. Secondly mr o conners welth came about by selling his company to stobarts. At which point he then stepped into the frame of the vikings since having his own money. Thirdly he is an employee of stobarts just like any driver so its nt his buisness he is promoting . Forthly his connections with stobarts have helpë widnes get a big local sponser at the club. Granted he said his 1st team was liverpool when he first come on board. But the passion and close family atmosphere and fans mixing with each other opend his eyes. He can be seen at many away matches last season with his son standing with the widnes fans. Widnes problems b4 soc çame on board was poor business managment we have now got that in place. Hopefully within the next 5 years we can be competing for honours with a sound self financing club. I hope the bulls come through this coz as a fan its horrible to go through . Hope u bring. Two thousand plus fans on monday both to chear ur team and also as a thank you to soc

| I know people who know Steve O'Connor well.
He is a genuine fan. Widnes are fortunate to have him. And I am dead jealous.
I have always had a very soft spot for Widnes. I used to know a few people over there, and I used to talk to former chairman the late Tony Chambers - a really great guy - online in chatrooms. He used to post as "Chairman" on Leaguechat. He was one hell of a guy. Taken by cancer well before his time.
I doubt I will get over on Monday. But those who do...you should give a huge rap to O'Connor IMO. I can tell you the Board are more than a bit grateful for his support. He gets Hero status in my book.
