£22 to sit in there and then spend half an hour getting out of the car park!

But the result makes it all worth while!

I can't believe the abuse for our ground from a team that plays in a hole in the ground! icon_wink.gif

I've been coming to Odsal since the 70s, one of my least favourite grounds and have suffered abuse for daring to stand down the side and not behind the sticks 'You're away support, you should be stood over there!' - seriously! But i come to support my team. We know our ground isn't as good as it could be and for what it's worth I agree we are overpricing, it's the same admission price for home and away fans.

It just disappoints me that the only teams who bring a reasonable following are Hull, Leeds and Cas.

Well done Bradford, good to see a clutch of promising young English lads playing well.

We do try to get to as many away Bulls matches as we can but in honesty if the match is on SKY we normally watch at home.
It does'nt give the atmosphere and we are plagued with the idiotic commentators, but its a choice of economy over a full season.

Well, me and Little Miss Cookie watched it from her hospital bed and thoroughly enjoyed the game. Due to technical difficulties, we missed the first 15 mins of the match and the first 7 mins of the 2nd half icon_biggrin.gif

If you come on a forum criticising the away following of a team, perhaps you can expect some criticism heading your way? I've probably been to every away tie at Hull KR since you re-joined the elite league, but this time I decided not to bother for the reasons stated. I'd like to be able to attend every away game, but sometimes you have to cut your cloth accordingly. Away trips to Salford/Saints are higher on my to do list this year.

icon_thumb.gif Are you sure the Joint Chiefs of Staff couldn't set up a special transport to bring you back for 1 match? And of course, that match would be HKR away icon_wink.gif

It's also worth remembering that the North Stand has a reduced capacity this season with only the first Eleven rows in use.

I had a headache after the game from all of the shouting but I walked back in virtual silence to the car with my Hull KR supporting girl friend and family icon_lol.gif but this is the first time we've beaten rovers since we started going out. After last week I thought we could do it but confidence took a massive hit with some of the injuries received.Had a great time and the moment when I realised we were going to win was priceless. Got a few funny looks in the mill on holderness road but mainly pats on the back. Looking forward to watching the game when I get home later today.

Quote: Bulliac "That is the point, though. Much as any abuse is bang out of order, you have the opportunity of standing (or sitting) down the side.

You probably don't even know, and there's no real reason why a home fan would know, but at CP for away fans there is only the open air seats, which are far too low for a decent view and worse, when it rains you have to sit in the rain getting your legs wet. Poor doesn't come anywhere near describing it.

Though I confess I enjoyed last night!!
You can also buy tickets for the 'well' down the side behind the dugouts, it was only half full lastnight. The Roger Millward stand and East Stand are sold out most weeks, mainly to passholders. Why would we not know what is available for away fans? That would be a bit poor if we didn't as we talk to fans from all clubs on here. You may not know that the north stand isn't just for away fans, it's used by home fans for most games too. The capacity in the north stand has been reduced by about 600, but with work expected to commence very soon on the new north stand it will remain this way.

It saddens me that we can't attract a greater away support from clubs and it's definitely something that we the fans and the club know we need to improve on, I realise that times are hard for people at the moment, I too have to choose my away games but I wouldn't choose them based on the facilities at the ground, I would have thought a clash between your nearest competitors in the league would have been more appealing.

I look forward to watching you on the telly again next week.

I don't think anybody has said that they didn't go purely because of facilities on offer. But if Hull KR are genuinely looking to improve away following then I think perhaps pricing should be looked at. To pre-book for Hull KR away to sit behind the sticks in cramped and uncomfortable seating is £22. For you visit to Odsal you will pay £16 if pre booked or £18 on the gate on the day to stand on the popular side.
