I imagine the RFL take into account that the ball carrier wasn't injured and give him the lesser end of the sentence, but for me it would be a 3-4 game ban for that.

Depends what his charge is, if it's a flop it'll be nowt, however if its deemed intentional use of elbow he can't pick up less than 2 games. We'll have to wait and see what he's charged with. However, you and I both know it was intentional.

If he gets a match ban that's him out for the whino's game. I'd never want the whino's to beat wire. Bj is being targeted a lot and this shows he is a threat and his game has much improved

I seem to remember an opposition player driving his knees into a prone Robbie Pauls chest causing broken ribs and a long time off and he got in essence a pat on the back from the disciplinary committee, so I have no hope for justice in this case. And the frustrating thing is that the officials never see such incidents as they happen so at best it may be a ban that helps the offended teams opposition in subsequent games. To me its there and then that the decision should be made, and if the player has made the offence then he is off the pitch there and then, whats the point of a three match ban on a player that has just taken the head off your play maker? surely the 4th official should be able to make the call where a player has been injured due to foul play not seen by the first 3 officials, the time taken to get that player off the pitch is usually enough time for the 4th official to review the tapes and deliver a verdict.

Ahhh, am not a fan of the 4th official having such an influence on a game. However though, match officials should be more vigilant or at least have more testicular fortitude to make a decision. Alibert should either have been watching the ruck for offences more closely or he should have grown a pair and sent Bridge from the field, because it was a bad one.
