| Featherstone are unveiling a new signing on Sunday at their friendly with Oldham. One which to quote the club, 'signals their intent'. Whether Kyle Briggs fits into the category...

| Back to where he belongs then. Never an SL player in a million years. Which, of course, I got slated for suggesting some time ago. Funny that.

| If he does go, has he really been given a chance to prove himself? Signed as a great prospect, fantastic first 30 mins at Cardiff, got injured and, err, out on loan, breaks arm, comes back, cheerio!

| He certainly played like someone who knew he was on the way out at Keighley. It must have been a good half hour before I realised he was playing.

| Probably feels more comfortable being a big fish in a small pond. Maybe there are other issues regarding attitude etc.
Presumabely we've lost the rumoured £50k we paid too. Nice bit of business for Fev that.

| The two tries came direct from his kicks and he scored one of them.
On him being a SL player if the Bulls had applied that criteria over the previous seasons we'd have turned without a full team. He should have got more chance in front of the truly woeful Herbert and on the opportunites afforded him can't say he's any worse than BJ. we're showing Briggs the door after 7 games while Sykes is still at the club (for 2 more years) . Great stuff.

| Briggs has the ability. But for some unknown reason just doesn't get the chances. If we are getting rid of him I hope we do it at the end of the year so Southernwood can come into contention.

Jamie Rooney and Keith Senior are also rumoured as 'the big name'.

| If Briggs does go then I don't think he'll be missed. Attacking wise he was average and defensively he was awful. There may be other members of the squad in the same boat and I hope they're offloaded at some stage too but for now if it is Briggs then fair enough. Joseph's probably needed more as we're light in the forwards.

Pretty arrogant for a fan of a mediocre Super League club that has to be bailed out by the RFL to keep their own ground aren't we? Briggs will be one of the best players in the Championship. If Bradford actually signed a decent player for once that had the potential to be the best player in Super League I'm sure you'd be pretty happy about it too.

| Quote: Adeybull "Hood said at the forum that we were at the cap limit because of signing Pryce.
So where did we get the cap space to sign Joseph?
I also noted Briggs had the lowest number shirt other than latecomer Pryce.
I'm tempted to say "go figure?" but it would only be speculation.'"
I got the impression from PH on Wednesday that Phil was signed a while ago maybe even before Karl.
Didn't he say something about trials having to be for four weeks, not four matches, and how pointless it was before the season as his trial period would have run out before he'd played a game. I'm sure he said they'd given him a years deal at the time.

he did say that. he also mentioned there was something in the contract to end it if they weren't happy. Joseph was happy to take up that option.
