Some interesting selections there. Obviously it will be good to see the combinations of Purtell/Ainscough and Jeffries/Gale, it's also nice to see Addy getting a run out in his (supposed) best position, rather than at hooker as he was forced into last year. Good to see Bateman starting too.

just a thought but wonder if we're holding some of players back so we get a debut at each friendly?. bit surprised that sammut isnt in squad this week. I know there isnt a massive benefit to us financially in bumping up crowds at away friendlies but they are split gate (hull apart) so we will get a small amount of cash coming in. say sammut debuts at dewsbury game then kear at keighley and lulia at hull fc, plus karls return debut at one of them. Gives us more incentive to turn up at all the friendlies to see the new players.
