Funny, I heard (unofficially) he'd re-signed for us. He's had discussions with other clubs too.

As has been said he's got his strengths and weaknesses, but he's still good enough to get in our side. I'd like to think he'd make the most of his physical atttributes before he's past it, he's still got a chance to make something of his career. Otherwise he could well look back on his 20s as a great missed opportunity.

If Purtell is on the wing then aren’t the centre options Walker, Platt and Sykes (and maybe Whitehead I guess) at the moment? Pryce would be a decent option over most of that list.

If purtell was on wing then first choice centres would be Lulia and walker. I'd take either of those ahead of pryce just for their better handling skills. After that your looking at crookes, platt,Sykes and maybe whitehead/Bateman. Don't think any of latter group are significantly better or worse than pryce as centres. None of that group would be 1st choice centres for me. 1st choice pick 2 from Lulia, purtell and walker.

Sorry wasn't being clear, I meant who goes in the centres with Lulia if Purtell is on the wing. What I was trying to say was that Pryce, should he arrive, would go ahead of most of the options we currently have.

I'd like to say Walker would be first choice, I like the guy and his attitude is great but there's got to be a question mark over what state he'll be in when he starts playing again. At the moment I have Purtell and Lulia in the centres with Ainscough and Kear on the wings.

Agree entirely. Thats my preferred option at moment too before we see how they go in pre-season. Assuming Pryce signs then think he'd be cover for wing and Walker cover for centers in case of injuries.

Yeah but with Purtell and Lulia in Centres it is important we pair Tall - PURTELL and short - AINY.

So:

Ainscough
Purtell
Lulia
Kear

take it you haven't noticed that lulia and purtell are both the same height (6'4"icon_wink.gif. doesnt really matter which winger goes on which side they'll still be playing alongside someone tall. icon_wink.gif
