Why on earth would he want to come to Bradford when he has the chance to work with Richard Agar?

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, given he and his wife seem very settled over here, it doesn't surprise me that he'd want to go for a uk passport. But as Stuart Duffy explained at the fans forum, it's not as simple as just applying for a passport. He has to go through a loyalty ceremony and then physically get hold of the passport before he can come off.

True but that's just timing. As long as we know he's getting passport there's nothing to stop us signing him and just not registering him with rfl until all formalities are finalised.

| I might have got it wrong here but dosent Moro only count on the overseas quota and not the non fed trained because he's been here so long?
And Sammut only counts on the non fed trained quota because he has a Maltese passport?
So no need to deregister anyone

Overseas quota is full until Ben gets his UK passport?

Correct. But if wakey fans are right more could be getting a passport too removing any problem anyway.

No can do I'm afraid to for him to sign any contract he has to show our friends at the UK border agency he has a right to work in this country.

He can sign a contract (which will have an impact on the salary cap) but the Bulls don't have to register him with the RFL.
I think it's the same rule that HRK applied with the Mason/Dobson saga

| Morrison is off quota because he had an agreement in place to join Crusaders next season before the proverbial hit the fan.
Like the rest of Crusaders' overseas players who were under contract for 2012, he has been granted special dispensation by the RFL to count as fed trained.
Nowt to do with passports so he can be signed whenever.

I'm not in the habit of revealing my sources but I was told this by someone who has spoken to Morro very recently and I have no reason to doubt them. The fact he had signed for Crusaders was fairly common knowledge.

Fair enough
It would be ironic if we ended up getting dispensation for a Wakefield player, but couldn't get it for one that actually played for Crusaders....
