So would it be fair to say you have no idea?

| Why do people assume Ali L would command a huge salary given his recent injury poor record and age? Another addition to the stupid assumptions box.
The contract he will be negotiating now will be nothing like the levels he could formerly command as a world class second rower at Headingley. Not even close.
As for Morrison. Why would Wildcats release him given his ability, influence, seniority and that he also coaches the U20's? Oh and that we treated him like Superted. (also see Steve Menzies)

I find that quite interesting.
Morrison seems to me as well that he [ishould[/i make a good coach, but I see quite a weight of opinion on here hoping that he would coach us and I wonder on what that is based.
For me, it's gut feel only. Has he a coaching record?

I think the only chance we would have of signing him is offering the same coaching set up and Wakefield hiring a head coach that he doesn't get on with.
Let's hope it's McNamara to join Wakey, he'll be signing up straight away.

| Ali confirmed for Wakefield on Sporting Life, good, his stats this season are worse than Elliots and Elimas. So thats two back rows Wakefield have signed in two days.
(edit: and Peter Fox is going back to Wakefield, 3 yr contract)

Heve heard from a few rhino fans we are intrested in him, as you have allready said his wages will be neglagable and his age shouldn't be an issue, his injury record could be a problem but i think thats a risk i'd be willing to make, he's a good player that offers something different, solomona without the baggage!
Pity hes gone to wakey!

Maybe the fact that the guy was seriously considering switching to Union would be an indication that he's after a good salary before he retires......
Try thinking 'Outside the box'!

| I don't think he will be on a low wage at his new employers.
Also, how many clubs do you think were showing interest? Above posts suggest we made enquiries which would show that his services were in demand.
In the end he went to Wakefield. No disrespect to Wakey fans but even Bradford are in a better position to challenge for honours (can't say that too often). With the offers on the table - it wouldn't surprise me that he picked the one that paid the most.
He's made it clear in the past few weeks that he was considering multiple possibilities from within League, Union etc. so it just sounded like he was after a retirement fund.
Another point I was making above is that, imo, Wakefield will be paying good money for a player that will spend a number of hours on the treatment table.

| There's another announcement tomorrow.. wouldn't expect a new signing this time though. Nothing concrete to back up the no new signing bit though.

It has the aura of a re-signing around it. My money is on The resigning of Chev and Ainscough
