| That said, big believer in enjoying each game for it's own merits as well as part of the wider competition. And we just bought ourselves at least six months of lessened Huddersfield fan presence on this board which is not to be sniffed at.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

good result and all but thats all a result like today is serving to do. too little too late for me, 2 of our next 3 are away at Wire and Wigan - the play offs are a distant hope at best.
credit to the boys today, good performance, must have been a horrendous off day for Huddersfield - but why didn't they do this earlier and more consistently?
i can still count on one hand the games we've turned up in this season and really had a go.'"
Indeed.
Great result today but there have been plenty of false dawns over the last few seasons.
Humpings against Huddersfield used to be the norm, now we over it.

| That was the best all round performance since 2005. Our front row bullied Huddersfield, something i have'nt seen since the awesome foursome, plus we had a back line who had some shape and speed.

| Well, this is why you need to be there. Just a superb 80 minutes from the whole team. Outplayed and outenthused the Giants for the full 80. Was a proud feeling to cheer them off. Inquests as to why they don't always play like this are for elsewhere and after what they put in today we should just stick to the performance in this thread. Really, really superb and cannot criticise anybody

| Its nice to get such a good win, against a good side - but Huddersfield have struggled in the rain all season, and in all likelihood looking at the fixtures we have left; the play offs are too far off because we've left it until now to play like that.
as stated above, if we'd turned up and done that to the Castleford's, Hull's, Salfords and Catalans (with 12 men) of this world we wouldn't be relying on some frankly miraculous results at Warrington and Wigan to snatch 8th - we'd be looking at top 5 or 6.
I see people are nominating Sykes for MOM in the other thread - he's had agood game, it doesn't make him the world beating centre we've been missing, and it doesn't make up for the shockers he's had all season prior to today.

It is quite obvious you didn't watch the game today. The Bulls kicked cleverly, they chased every kick, they didn't make errors and they gave away few penalties in the 1st half especially. They earned their points today through hard work and commitment... not because 'Huddersfield were having an off day'.
Having said that, there will be a tinge of frustration that we can't produce similar efforts more regularly. But this thread should be giving credit to a full 80 min performance from the guys today. Certainly one of the best performances I have witnessed as Odsal for quite some time.

thats good. I wonder if we'll continue to do that in the remaining fixtures?

Who knows, perhaps start a separate thread to discuss that?

| Outstanding performance, the best weve played for 5 years. We absolutley smashed their forwards to pieces. A good aggressive line and a simple attack that reduced our error count. We put them under pressure in attack and defence and it took it out of them allowing us to build momentum and cross the line.
Every player was aggressive today.
