| If McDermott survives at Leeds, I'll bet on it being Burrow.
And Bosc.

| Burrow?
I'd say, not in this world would he come to the Bulls.

| i would take burrow in all honesty, think he is better than what we have and would provide that bit of zip we have been missing. Whether he would leave leeds for us is another thing but at the end of the day it seems no end of players have done it recently and money certainly talks as they say.
Not sure who else is out of contact elsewhere though i cant see Bosc being retained if catalan sign pryce, i cant imagine either of them two anywhere other than stand off. Ratchford surely will go to a bigger club (top 4) and then we are left with the clubs most likely to lose super league status which appears to be only one, wakefield, and as bad we are i wouldnt have there players given.
A lack of quality halves being available next year from Australia leaves us in a situation where we arent exactly spoilt for choice and unless we stay with the status quo then the likes of Burrow, Long, Bosc or Pryce are all we can be realisticly aiming for

| The thing is, Burrow is like Pryce. Great attacking player but wouldn't give us any more leadership or direction from half back than the players we've already got at the club.
We need a general at half back. Someone like Stacey Jones or Henry Paul or even the unspeakable one.
The names being banded round do not really fill me with confidence

| There simply isn't the 'on field general' we need available. As its been said already the names that are being mentioned aren't going to improve out squad massively.
Unless we have a huge stack of cash lying around we won't get the player we need. Not really sure where that leaves us to be honest which is really sad.

| Id offer a contract to either:
Arana Taumata
Jordan Rankin
Scott Porter
Liam Foran
Ben Hunt
all OOC at end of season. Foran could be worth a punt and Rankin as a long term option partnering either Briggs and Southernwood.

I'd have said the same about Diskin this time last year.

Good. He's got a better game than Marc Herbert.

This is what frustrates me about British Rugby League in general, they are Aussies/Kiwis so they will do ?
The only decent player there is Taumata but he is has been sacked at the seven or eight clubs he has been at for poor behaviour.

Yes he is, though his best spot is full back. What he isn't though, or at least what he hasn't shown to be yet, is an organiser who can move the side round the field. At least we don't have any 'external' problems this time round, like the one with Orford last year, and the coach can decide who he wants to bring in. I'm assuming he's as underwhelmed with the halves, in general, as we have all been, so I expect someone in and someone out to be honest.
