Just because he has been deregistered with the RFL doesn't necessarily mean that his contract with Hull KR has been terminated does it? Just because the RFL say any club are now free to register him doesn't mean Dobson is free to join another club if he is under contract with Hull KR?

I think there was a new article featuring Nigel Woods that stated that Dobson's contract had been terminated and the RFL had also de-registered him. Whether that article was correct is what I'm trying to get my head around.

His contract and registration are surely separate and he will still be getting his money as per the contract? If the club can't play him it's not Dobson's fault. With the live cap in place I'd assume HKR wouldn't have been allowed to sign Mason if they weren't still under the cap. It's not as though they're Warrington is it.

According to the original announcement from KR it was De-registered not contract ended. rlhttps://www.hullkr.co.uk/article.php?idNot sure how they'd square ending a contract to sign someone else with a tribunal to be honest.
