Eddie just mentioned that he may have been sacked on Sky.

Eddie Hemmings has just said on Sky Sports that and I qoute "the rumour is that Wigan have parted company with Martin Gleeson". Can't see how parting company - if that is the case - could end up in court but there you go.

Rumour to be official in the next couple of days.

It will be interesting to see if any other club takes him on. Seems that wherever he goes.. he seems to find himself caught up some sort of bother.

He'll be 31 in a couple of months, is he worth the hassle? I suspect there is a bit more of a story to come out just yet..

I think clubs would have to be very careful if they decide to take him on. He's been done for gambling, walked out on wire and now what ever he has allegedly done now. Not good for a cv

Good player, but if sorted out his off field stuff he would have been a GREAT player.

If Wigan are going to sack him, it must be in their interests to make it public as to exactly why he has been sacked, as whatever it is may be enough to put off some of their rivals from signing someone who may play well against Wigan.

However, with the Hock situation, and the length of time it took the club to make a statement over his future (ie they still havent!), I wont be holding my breath!!
