The cast could be precautionary. Although if there was any diagnostic uncertainty an X-ray could easily have been done last night or this morning which would have confirmed/ruled out a fracture.

You would have thought so but I guess it depends when Heath had x-rays done, might have been after Potter was on the radio.

I walked on my ankle before I found out it was broken. But I also know someone who had a cast when his ankle was badly sprained, although it was for a couple of weeks and he was on crutches as well. Could be bad either way, broken or not!

| I broke my ankle two years ago, an unstable fracture, and believe me you WOULD NOT WALK on an ankle broken in TWO places!
One break is painful enough, when they straighten your foot for the back slab plaster it is agony  |

Must say that I was amazed when they said there was no break or snapped ligament. When he went down, his reaction was like no "sprain" I've ever seen.
|
