No different to me having no intention of selling my house, then someone knocks on my door and offers 3 times the value, I aint gonna say no then am I?'"
Bulls didnt get anywhere near 3x the value for Burgess.
If Westerman went for 300k, how much do you think Burgess should have been vauled, and how much do you think we got for him. According to some on here it was around 100k. Is that an offer they cant refuse or a pittance of what they should have recieved?

| Do we [iactually[/i want Pryce?
A few weeks ago we were all saying that we were really happy with Briggs and Herbert. OK, injured at the moment - but then so is Pryce. By the time we get Pryce in and match fit, Herbert and (probably) Briggs will be back.
And, let's be honest, Pryce isn't going to want to be back up is he

| When fit and on form Pryce is devastating. He is a top class Super League player, and we should be interesed in quality players.

| If we did receive £100k for Sam i reckon that was a good deal as he would have left for £100k less at the end of the season. Is this not old ground?

We'd have also had a world class player playing for us for another season who could have made a difference to our overall position and performances.

I believed that anyway, but i'll take your word for it too.
' would we want him'
Of course we'd want him - we've been unlucky with injuries in halves and if that continues it would be an excellent addition. If Briggs & Herbert were both fit then Leon could easily play the creative loose forward role or cover centres.
Anyway, it's been done to death now - he's not coming back, at least not till next season!

But even at the end of the season, assuming Pryce doesn't sign an extension with saints, surely Bradford looking to sign him will depend greatly on how Herbert and Briggs go through out this season. After all, Pryce would be looking to command a high salary (possibly 2 player's worth) and given his age, how he comes back from his neck injury and his tendency to go missing in games, would that salary be worth it. Granted you can balance it out with his undoubted ability AND he has home grown status. But I'm not sure that the balance is quite there.

I see nothing wrong with that as long as one wasn't blue and the other amber. . . . .that would be just sick and wrong

Yeah, a world class player who didn't want to be here. Better he went than taking wages here and moping around dreaming of Aussie beaches, until the end of the season.
